In the early 2000s, mobile phones were just starting to fill the domestic market. Each new model made a splash. Not an exception was the Siemens ME45 phone. Buyers were looking forward to his exit, and already in 2001 he appeared on store shelves. Having GPRS support was an innovative development. The case is waterproof, as much as possible protected from dust and other small particles of debris. This model was an excellent continuation of the line of business-class phones.
Design
Siemens ME45 is available in black and gray. The sides of the phone are rubberized. The device is a classic oval-shaped candy bar. There are no special design refinements, all elements are positioned with rigor and formality. Fifteen years ago, it was not a shame to appear with such a model in high society.
The weight of the device is almost 100 g. This is quite normal for a phone whose dimensions are 109 × 46 × 20 mm. Thanks to the rubberized edges, Siemens ME45 does not slip in the hand. The back cover fits snugly to the case and has a good locking lock. The buttons are rubber; they are highlighted while using the phone. A seal is laid at the joints of the housing, which prevents the entry of debris, water and dust.
On the front panel, the manufacturer used smooth lines. They are viewed in the design of the screen, control buttons. The speaker is covered by a large plate. There are five holes for the microphone. There are two soft keys; they are located symmetrically. They have an oval shape. Between them is an arrow button designed to scroll through information and quickly enter the menu. The call and reset buttons are round, located at some distance from the others. Use them conveniently. The numeric keypad has an original layout: three buttons on the sides, four in the center. The keys "*" and "#" are slightly lower than the rest. They stand out clearly, as they differ in shape.
