Catching carp and other large fish on the cattails is a method that has been used for many years and has proven itself. It is notable for its simplicity in manufacturing tooling and lower cost, which is important nowadays. Therefore, many fishermen are wondering about how to make a foreshore with their own hands.
What it is?
Cinquefoil is called a tackle for catching fish on a fly. Makukha is a piece of cake from sunflower seeds in the form of a small cube. Tackle is collected in such a way that a piece of makuha swims close to the bottom, attracting fish with its appearance and smell. It will simultaneously serve as bait and bait. A small number of hooks are attached to it, usually from two to four. The idea, according to which carp are caught on a cattail, is as follows. The fish tastes the cake, it sends the edible components for chewing, and throws the inedible through the gills. The hook is perceived as an inedible particle, so the fish tries to get rid of it and as a result is caught.
Where to get Makukha?
Those who want to make a hand-made muffler should take the makuha itself somewhere. You can purchase the finished product in a specialized store. An absolute plus in this case is that the cake is already cut into portioned pieces. You can also pick up a product with aromatic additives. However, some fishermen prefer to acquire a ring of sunflower meal and cut it on their own. This, of course, will be cheaper. But not every makukha is suitable for knitting gear, and choosing the right one will be possible only through trial and error.
How to cook tackle?
Makushatnik, the manufacture of which is considered in this article, is simpler than gear using boilies. The sinker here should be selected massive enough, about 50 grams for catching carp in stagnant water, and about 100 grams if the cattails are used on the stream. Need a flat sinker, such as "dovetail" (letter V) or in the shape of a horseshoe. It is also recommended to use a special clasp, which will ensure reliable fastening of a piece of flakes, which will work until completely soaked. Hooks on leashes are tied to a fastener. These leashes are made of kapron threads so that the rigidity of the fishing line does not frighten a careful fish. The length of the leash, when making a make-up with your own hands, can be different. Some leave them authentic, up to 10 cm, while others are limited to 4 cm. Still, you should not attach more than two pieces, because the hooks can intertwine and the fish will not take them.

Do-it-yourself bread making is usually done so that the fish is already caught while more complex gears are being prepared. It is best used in late spring and summer, when carp prefers plant aromas and flavors. Also other fish, for example, large crucian carp, bream, and grass carp, also peck at such tackle. You can soak a piece of makuha with flavorings before use. The specific preferences of fish in a particular reservoir can only be determined empirically. Therefore, it is better to take several different flavors and use gradually. A small fish will not be able to swallow a large piece of shark, which means it will not bother the fisherman in vain. During the course, a piece of makuha usually softens for 4-6 hours, in stagnant water a little longer. Therefore, a piece of the bait will need to be changed.
