For centuries, poetry has always been interesting and close to people, because it is through poetry in an elegant poetic form that a person expresses his views on the world and everything that is in it. Many people believe that with the departure of the great poets of the 20th century poetry also broke, a whole era of creativity of such talented people as Joseph Brodsky, Vladimir Vysotsky, Anna Akhmatova, Boris Pasternak, etc. went into oblivion. However, modern poetry proves the opposite: in Russia talented, creative and highly gifted poets. And Biryukov Sergey Evgenievich is one of them.
The biography of the poet
He was born in the middle of the XX century, in 1950, in the Tambov region. Biryukov Sergey grew up in the small village of Torbeevka, in the most ordinary working-class family. From childhood, the boy was interested in poetry; in elementary grades, he re-read the entire school library. Teachers more than once noticed the special inclination of the future poet to literature, as they grew older, this love only intensified.
Studying at the Tambov Pedagogical University, at the Faculty of Philology, made him take a fresh look at the work of Russian futurists, and he, as a student, decided to connect his whole life with poetry.
Teaching activities
Biryukov Sergey defended his doctoral dissertation in 1973 on the topic of cultural science of the 19th-20th centuries. He has the degree of candidate of philological sciences. He worked for more than 20 years at TSU named after G.R.Derzhavin, he taught at the native faculty, lectured on linguistics and general poetics. The professor also led a literary studio, where, together with gifted students, he prepared for publication books by great Russian writers and poets of the 19th-20th centuries. The most famous of them are publications of the works of such poets as V. M. Kubanev, A. M. Zhemchuzhnikov and N. I. Ladygin.
In 1990, Sergey Evgenievich founded the Academy of Zaumi for the first time in the world, which brought together all Russian and foreign poets, philologists, visualists and artists who continue to keep the ideas of the wizards and follow the traditions of the futurists of the last century. He awarded the most talented proverbial poets the International Mark to them. David Burliuk, who is the founder of a new art form - futurism.
Features of creativity
Biryukov Sergey Evgenievich was first printed in 1970. The main difference between his works is their unique style, made according to the best traditions of Zaumi.
Zaum as a literary trend arose at the beginning of the 20th century, its main idea is a complete rejection of the use of meaningful words, they use sounds that, in the opinion of the wizards, are also able to convey the thoughts of poets. Here is one of the brightest examples of such a work:
It was brewing. Creamy Shore
Poking around
And grunts grunted
Like mumziki in mov.
As you can see, zaum is a kind of analogue of abstractionism in art. Biryukov Sergey with great artistry performed his poems on stage, thanks to which many young poets turned to this literary device.
In addition to abstruse poems, the poet also created larger works. Most of them are written in the style of futurism using many avant-garde techniques.

Theoretical books
The Russian poet works in many different directions. He is the author and researcher of the history of futurism and avant-garde. His work, Zeugma: Poetry from Mannerism to Postmodernism, is the only textbook on avant-garde ("non-standard") versification forms.
His greatest scientific works are Theory and Practice of Poetic Avant-Garde in Russia, Baroque and Avant-Garde, and Roku Reproach. In 2006, his anthology Vanguard: Vectors and Modules was published, which is considered one of the author’s most serious works. It touched on the most important topics of Russian avant-garde poetry: the aesthetics of a poetic experiment in the avant-garde culture of the 20th century and a portrait of figurative futurism. In addition, the book describes the results of many years of research on the origins of the main literary trends, provides biographies of famous and unknown poets in Russia, the writer introduces us to their work. Modern poetry is rich in young talents who continue to create works in the best traditions of futurism, complementing this style with their own techniques.
