Roman Mazurenko is the founder of the Stampsy startup (a platform for creating visual content), for which he received a grant from the Start Fellows program (the founders are Yuri Milner and Pavel Durov). He also participated in the creation of the Dazed & Confused magazine (Russian version), organized Idle Conversation parties in Moscow, and founded the LAM Magazine magazine. He was director of special projects at the Strelka Institute for Media, Design and Architecture.
Biography of Roman Mazurenko
The young man was born in Belarus in 1981. In the family was an only child. His dad Sergey is an engineer, his mother Victoria is a landscape designer. As a child, Roman was very serious. At the age of eight, he wrote a letter to his descendants, in which he recognized justice and wisdom as his most valuable qualities.
As a teenager, he was attracted to adventure: he participated in political demonstrations, at the age of 16 he went to see the world. He studied exchange in New Mexico for a year. Then in Dublin he studied the theory of computers. There he was imbued with various novelties in fashion, design, music and Western art.
In 2006, Roman Mazurenko, having completed his studies, returned to Moscow. He turned into a handsome young man. At this time, the Moscow hipster class, which he entered with confidence, was gaining popularity.
Roman's friends, whom he has a lot, describe him as an attractive and gallant person. He always left a good impression, wherever he was. The young man led a bachelor life, but rarely went on dates. He fully devoted himself to promoting the modern European style in Moscow life.
Career
Roman Mazurenko, together with his best friends, S. Poido and D. Ustinov, organized the free creative team Idle Conversation, which was at the center of any cultural undertaking in the capital. They opened parties and music festivals, created magazines, introduced people who subsequently organized a joint business or created music groups.
In 2010, Roma took part in the opening of the Moscow bar Strelka, one of the components of the Institute of Media, Design and Architecture of the same name. He was responsible for the kitchen, the cultural program, the uniform of the waiters and the furniture in the bar.
In 2012, Roman took up entrepreneurship. Launched the Stampsy Digital Magazine Tool. In 2015, the young man moved to live in the United States. When the Stampsy failed, Roman Mazurenko was crippled. He fell into melancholy, but not for long. Leaving life
On Saturday, November 28, 2015, on the Sofia Embankment of Moscow, Roman Mazurenko was hit by a Range Rover SUV. The young man and his friend crossed the road at a pedestrian crossing. The comrade stopped on the sidelines to read the message on the phone. Looking up, he saw a jeep knocking a friend at high speed.
Roman was quickly taken to the hospital. Having received severe fractures and a brain contusion, he was already in a coma. A few hours later, Roman Mazurenko died without recovering.
