  1. Vnukovo. Located in the city, in the south-west, 10 km from MKAD. The third largest passenger traffic in UIA. Vnukovo-1, which is included in the list of Moscow airports, serves passengers on international (charter and regular), domestic flights, as well as cargo planes. Vnukovo-2 is designed for special flights of the leaders of the Russian Federation and foreign countries. Vnukovo-3 is served by the Moscow government, Roscosmos and business flights. Vnukovo airport square is the record holder of Russia, its area is 270 thousand m 2 .
  2. Domodedovo. The southernmost of the list of Moscow airports is the 22nd km along the Moscow Ring Road along the Kashirsky Highway (45 km from the center of the capital). The airport is one of the three best in Eastern Europe. In 2012, it was recognized as the busiest airport in Russia and one of the busiest among European. There are two runways that allow for the simultaneous take-off and landing of aircraft. From here, aircraft fly in 247 directions (83 of which are unique to UIA), which are supervised by 82 airlines. All Domodedovo terminals make up a single complex.
  3. Sheremetyevo. It can be found in the city of Khimki (north of the capital, following the Leningrad highway). Through it passes annually 15 million passengers and hundreds of tons of various cargoes. This is the second largest airport in terms of passenger traffic in the Russian airport (after Domodedovo). It was built for the USSR Air Force (commissioned in 1957), but already in 1959 it was redesigned into a passenger one. After a relatively recent transformation (2009 - 2010), terminals B, C, D, E, F started operating at Sheremetyevo.
  4. Ostafyevo. It is located in the Podolsky district (near South Butovo), mainly used for business flights. Both civilian and military aircraft are based here. Opened in 1934, this airport was managed by the NKVD, the Ministry of Defense of the USSR, Gazpromavia, and as a result became open in 2000 for the transport of citizens. Now on its territory there are 26 aircraft parking lots, service stations, heated hangar complexes.
  5. Zhukovsky. Cargo and test airport; renovated in 2016. Then his passenger terminal was opened with an area of ​​17 thousand m 2 . Over the past year, he served 2 million people. Currently, flights to Belarus and Kazakhstan are available.
  6. Chkalovsky. It is located in the south-east of Shchelkovo, 31 km from the north-eastern outskirts of the capital. The vessels of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation are based here, the organization responsible for the commercial transport on military aircraft, charter civil (both passenger and cargo) flights are made with one-time passes. The airport received its name due to the fact that in 1932 a bomber aircraft, controlled by the legendary V.P., first landed on its territory. Chkalov.
