How to overlay a photo on a photo or insert part of one picture into another is not a difficult task for those who are familiar with Photoshop. But sometimes even experienced users have difficulties in working with this program, and it’s not possible to connect the image or lay one on top of the other.
Consider several options for how to overlay a photo on a photo.
In the example, small images are superimposed on the background. Each image is located on a separate layer and partially overlaps the bottom layer. In order to achieve this, you need to open all the necessary photos in Photoshop. Depending on the version of the program, you will see windows with horizontal or vertical lines that indicate the number of pictures. Choose the window you need.
Now it remains to overlay the photo on the photo. The image is completely transferred, so we start with the first shot that you want to overlay on the background. You can see only one picture in the layers panel. Use the mouse to drag the desired image onto the background layer. We click on the background image, it will become active, and on this layer the background with a small photo on it will be visible. In the same way we drag the rest of the images and arrange them in the necessary order.
If the image is too large or, if necessary, small, it makes sense to reduce or enlarge it. To do this, click on the inserted image, select the Edit option, then Free Transform or use the CTRL + T keys, pulling or stretching the markers, we achieve the desired result.
Using the same Photoshop, you can overlay one photo on another or insert one fragment of the image into another picture. For this, a part of one photograph is cut out and placed on the picture of another photograph. The result is a composition called a photo collage, or photo montage.
Select the image that we will cut, select Edit> Copy and paste in the desired place the desired photo Edit> Paste. The cut picture has a separate layer, so you can change its size if necessary.
To qualitatively highlight a fragment, you can use images on a transparent background - from the clipart, as well as insulators that are located on a black or white background.
