In the spring of 2004, TNT hosted the premiere of the reality show Dom-2. The idea of creating the project belonged to the TV presenter Valery Komissarov. Under the sights of online cameras, young people tried to arrange their personal lives. The project was successful and brought a lot of money to the organizers. Project birth story
A trial version of the program "Home" appeared on the screens of the TNT channel in 2003. The format of the first show was a competition between couples for the estate they built live. The host of the project was first the singer Nikolai Baskov, then the gymnast Svetlana Khorkina. The role of the foreman at the construction site was performed by Alexey Kulichkov. Subsequently, he led the entertainment program "Taxi" on TNT. In the final issue, viewers determined by voting which of the newlyweds would get a house.
How many years "Dom-2" and when it first appeared on the screens, today few people remember. Several years ago, rumors were published in the media that the project idea was purchased from Zeal from the UK. Similar to the domestic broadcast, the foreign program was a great success with viewers. It was broadcast in France, Australia, Germany, USA. However, the foreign project focused on family values. Already existing couples participated in it. It is hard to say how fair the guesses of the journalists are.
The results of the trial broadcast of Doma, apparently, didn’t satisfy the TNT leadership in everything, because the format of the show was redone according to the requests of the Russian viewer. As a result, in May 2004, the program “Dom-2” appeared. In the new project, the participants had to not only build a home, but also love. If initially the building was eventually transferred to the perfect couple, then in the second version of the reality show such a prize was not implied by the organizers.
Criticism of the transfer

In 2005, a group of deputies appealed to the prosecutor's office with a request to stop broadcasting the program and hold its leaders accountable. Opponents of the project were immediately accused of trying to introduce censorship on television and an encroachment on the democratic foundations of society. Protesting activists failed to close the program. In 2009, a new trial ended with the conclusion that the Metropolitan Court of the Presnensky District banned broadcasting the program in the daytime. Until 2010, the program was released only in the late evening, then it was again shown in the afternoon.
Love or calculation
It is difficult to say how justified the construction of relations on-line is, if you do not regard the project as purely financial. The income of the participants of the show for most regions of Russia is fabulous. The thirst for profit, of course, attracts a certain number of people to the project who want to make a profit.
