Her name translates as "a glowing crimson sunset." She was the mentor of team number 8 and the wife of Asuma Sarutobi. Yuhi Kurenai is one of the few Konoha Jounin women, a kind and silent kunoichi who always keeps her opinion to herself.
Start
At the age of 9, Kurenai Yuhi graduated from the Shinobi Academy and was assigned to the team with Asuma and Raido Namiashi. At 13, she received the rank of chunin, and became a johnin shortly before the anime, at about 25-26 years.
When the Nine-Tails attacked Konoha, Kurenai, along with other ninjas, zealously tried to help defend the village. However, older shinobi, including Yuhi’s father, excluded young people from such a dangerous event, arguing that because of the village’s internal problems, the younger generation should not risk their lives. They must live long and inherit the Will of Fire.
Yuhi has an innate talent for Genjutsu (to put the opponent in a world of illusions). Because of this, the Third instructed her to look after the girl from the Kurama clan, who also masterfully owned Genjutsu, but could not control her strength. But, seeing how quickly the destructive power of Yakumo is growing, the Hokage orders Kurenai to seal her forces. Yuhi became very attached to the girl, but could not disobey the order and literally with her own hands put an end to her ninja career.
Character
Yuhi Kurenai - brave, good-natured and caring. Even her classmate, with whom she had nothing in common, could not leave in trouble. The story happened 12 years after the attack on the village of Nine-Tails. Kurenai noticed that Hatake Kakashi was deeply depressed due to the death of Rin and Obito. Together with Maito and Sarutobi, Kurenai manages to persuade the Third to relieve Hatake of his post at ANBU and make him a joining mentor. Juhi believed that this would help him become as good a person as before.
She is also very worried about her students from the eighth team, in particular, Hinata, who at first always gives in to difficulties. Juhi is interested in growing up young ninjas and makes a lot of efforts to bring up a worthy shift.
The character of Kurenai is unbending. But at the same time she is honest, simple and open. In the anime “Naruto”, Kurenai Yuhi speaks little, is more in thought, this is another feature of her character.
Asuma and Yuhi
Often in the anime, Kurenai appears with Asuma Sarutobi. Appearance
Yuhi Kurenai is a beautiful and slender kunoichi with medium-length black hair that falls to the shoulders. Her eyes are scarlet, a woman always wears makeup: purple eyelids on her eyelids, bright red lipstick on her lips. Most often in the anime, Kurenai appears in the “net” (a kind of ninja armor) with a wide scarlet sleeve on his right hand and in a white short cloak consisting of wide bandages. Kurenai's arms and upper thighs are also wrapped in bandages. The tread of the village wears as a headband.
In the fillers, you could see that at one time, Yuhi wore Konoha’s standard ninja clothes. During pregnancy, she appears in a loose sundress and blouse.
Abilities
The abilities of Yuhi Kurenai are little known, but her possession of Genjutsu can be compared with Itachi Uchiha in strength. For attack and defense, she uses trees and flower petals. Almost all of her illusions are concentrated on the flora.
Yuhi can simultaneously plunge several opponents into the world of illusions. It can also scatter someone else’s Genjutsu and read information from the enemy’s subconscious. To merge with the subject, Kurenai uses her hair, covering her body, she is able to pass through material objects, hide in them or arrange ambushes.
Kurenai has a good reaction, and she can quickly avoid an enemy attack, in addition she owns sealing techniques.
Juhi Kurenai belongs to secondary characters and rarely appears in history. Little information about her favorite and least favorite things. Only in one of the encyclopedias that came out in addition to the manga, it is indicated that she does not like cakes, and her favorite phrase is: "Glory, like a violet, blooming one day."
