Croatia is a rather modest country in terms of area and population. However, a wide range of international airports are located on its territory. They were built in the middle of the last century, when the country was an integral part of Yugoslavia.
Since 2000, the state has embarked on the development of the tourism business. As a result, Croatia's international airports have experienced a resurgence. Today, most of them comply with generally accepted Western standards. Dubrovnik
Considering the main airports of Croatia, it is immediately worth noting Dubrovnik. This service point for airlines from around the world is located 15 km from the village of Chilipi. Here is one of the most visited resorts in the country called Dalmatia. Every year, tens of thousands of tourists from European countries visit the specified vacation spot.

"Pula"
International flights and planes from the capital or remote cities of the country are sent here. Mostly tourists who fly to the resort town of Istria, which is located on the peninsula of the same name, arrive at the airport. You can get here by buses registered with local travel agencies, or by taxi, which costs about 3 euros per kilometer.
There is one runway at the airport, which is enough for landing large aircraft, such as IL-86 and Boeing. Not only passenger aircraft land here, but also private, rented airliners.
"Split"
Considering the largest international airports in Croatia, it is worth stopping at the “Split” point, which is located near the towns of Trogir and Kastela. From here you can fly to European capitals and other settlements.
Russian tourists have the opportunity to fly to “Split” with liners of the companies “Lufthansa” and “Aeroflot”. Travel time from Moscow will be about five and a half hours. In this case, you will have to make a transfer in Frankfurt, Zagreb, Vienna, Munich or Budapest.
There are buses with comfortable conditions that depart from the same Kastela or Trogir. Regular buses regularly travel from the central part of Split to the airport, where the price of a travel document is about 4 euros. You can also get a taxi for 30-40 euros.
"Pleso"
It is the central airport of Zagreb. Despite its status, the passenger liner arrival point has one runway. At the same time, its capacity is at least 4,000 people per day, which few international airports in Croatia can boast of.
From Pleso you can fly to dozens of the largest cities in the world, and also reach almost all resort towns of the country that are located along the Adriatic coast within an hour.
The airport is located in the town of Pleso of the same name. You can get here from Zagreb in 20 minutes using the regular bus. As in previous cases, the fare is only a few euros. From the capital towards the airport, upscale automobile routes have been laid. Therefore, the fastest way to get to your destination is to rent a car or order a taxi.
Zadar
The airport was destroyed during numerous military conflicts in the middle of the country. It was rebuilt again in the early 2000s. From year to year, the airport is increasing its capacity. Today, about 300 thousand passengers pass through it during the year. Therefore, Zadar is on the list, which presents the most popular international airports in Croatia.
Flights from numerous European countries go here. Serves the airport and domestic airlines. Since 2011, domestic tourists have the opportunity to fly to the Zadar airport with flights from such companies as Yamal, Vim Avia, and Ural Airlines.
Inland, the airport can be reached by bus from the bus station of the same name town of Zadar, which is located in the central part of the Adriatic coast. The ticket price in this case will be 2-3 euros. It is convenient to go here by a rented car, which you can rent at the numerous rental services that are available in the above-mentioned settlement.
