To configure the start page in this browser, do the following in turn:
- In the address bar, usually combined with the search bar, you need to drive the address of the selected site and go to the page that you would like to see at startup.
- In the window menu, select "Tools". In the drop-down list, open “Settings”.
- In the window that opens (Settings-Basic), find the “Launch” item and configure it as follows: in the line “When Firefox starts” specify the option “Show Home Page”, and indicate the link below. It can, for example, be copied from a browser line, and also click on "Use current page". But remember that the last option is possible only if you are now on that page.
In this browser, a bookmark can play the role of a search start page. First enter your chosen search engine (or any other resource) there, and then specify it when setting up your home page.

Google chrome
This browser is perhaps the most popular. The competition is only the Red Fox, and perhaps the Safari. So, let's talk about how to change the home page in Google Chrome. To configure this program, do the following:
- As in the previous paragraphs, we first go to the main site, which will serve as our home page, and copy its address from the line.
- Click on the “Settings” icon in the upper right corner of the window. This menu item usually takes the form of a wrench. In the drop-down list, select "Parameters", and in front of us will open a separate window with three tabs. Among them, to configure the start page, we need only the first one, called "Basic".
- There we see the inscription “Home page”, in the column “Open this page” we enter manually or paste the copied website address (photo, search engine, etc.) and move the slider (put a green dot) in this line. Saving settings in Google Chrome will happen immediately after you click the Close button at the bottom of the window.

Opera (for example, version 10.52)

So what do we do first? Yes, yes, you guessed it, you should type the address of the web resource you selected as the start page in the address field and go to the site.
It must be said right away that the indicated version differs in that instead of the usual menu bar here the red button with the logo in the upper left corner of the window took on its role.
Setting starts by clicking on this icon, after which click on the “Settings” item in the menu, and select “General” in the small drop-down list on the side. For faster and more convenient operation, you can replace such “searches” by simultaneously pressing the Ctrl and F12 buttons, after which the required window will immediately open. In it, select the "Basic" tab. In the “Home” column, copy and paste (or type manually) the address of the selected content. If at this moment you are already on the required page, then just click on the button "Current page". Now, so that when you launch the Opera browser, you download this content, in the upper column (it is called "At Startup ..."), select the option "Start from the home page".

How do I set up the start page in a later Opera browser?
It will be nice to know how to perform similar actions, but in the browser version, for example, 10.10. Their settings are slightly different, and now we will see what exactly.
Firstly, there is a familiar browser menu in the form of a line at the top. Secondly, the names of the menu items are slightly different. But to configure this version to load a specific start page is also not difficult. Here's how to do it in Opera 10.10:
- Click on the item "Tools".
- In the menu that appears at the bottom, select "Settings". This version also supports the ability to open a window by pressing Ctrl + F12, so users who like this method are allowed to use it in this browser.
- Go to the tab "General Settings". In the column "At startup", indicate "Start from the home page", and below enter the address of the resource to which you defined this role. If you have the desired page open, it will be enough to click on the button "Current page".
