The childhood of an ordinary Moscow boy
Vyacheslav Mikhailovich was born on August 3, 1948. He is a native Muscovite. Parents of the future star of world ballet defended their homeland in the war of 1941-1945. Father Mikhail Vasilievich was injured, and his mother Lyubov Nikolaevna, a very gifted woman, perfectly playing several musical instruments, received a message about the surrender of Germany in Berlin. After the war, parents worked at the design office where the Buranas gathered. Vyacheslav Gordeev grew up as a hyperactive boy and was engaged in all available sports (football, volleyball, boxing, later - tennis and martial arts).
First shock
But at the age of ten, he saw on television a broadcast of the ballet Romeo and Juliet with the legendary G. Ulanova in the title role. The performance itself, its broadcast on television was an event of national importance. It determined the fate of the impressionable boy. Glory Gordeev began to engage in an amateur ballet studio at the club "Red October". But then mother didn’t think in terms of a “soloist of the Bolshoi Theater” and decided to connect the future of her child with a more specific and masculine profession.
The accident that determined the future life
Thanks to the efforts of the mother, the boy was admitted to the Suvorov School, which was very difficult to get into. Documents are collected, the child is cut off, and Vyacheslav Gordeev and his mother are going to get registered at a prestigious educational institution.
And then fate intervenes a second time. On the fence, they see an announcement about the addition to the choreographic school of talented children from 12 years old. The mother unexpectedly agrees to her son’s requests to try and try, despite a huge queue (600 people in three places). Vyacheslav Gordeev was accepted immediately, and the documents in the folder came in handy. Actually, he achieved tremendous success in comparison with other students, the last years of training was considered the best and most gifted pupil. Gordeev entered the school in 1960, graduated in 1968. He was engaged in the class of a talented teacher Peter Pestov.
"Golden Boy"
While still a student at the school, V. M. Gordeev traveled abroad. In Paris and London, he danced the pas de deux (one of the main ballet forms) from the ballet The Flames of Paris. The success was overwhelming. The Golden Boy, a nickname that Gordeev received abroad, was attached to him not only because of his golden costume: the western audience appreciated the young dancer.
A dream come true
At the end of the school, an already recognized graduate could choose which theater to associate his fate with. He persistently, up to a conversation with the then Minister of Culture E. A. Furtseva, was invited to the newly created "Young Ballet" (he was conceived as the face of Soviet ballet presented to the West). Theater named after Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko also offered the young artist immediately leading parties and a salary above 200 rubles. The long-awaited dream of the young dancer - the Bolshoi Theater - also took him to his troupe, but only to the corps de ballet with a salary of 98 rubles. He enthusiastically accepts the last option. A little later, Gordeev became a soloist in the main theater of the country and served there until 1989. He rehearsed roles in BT Gordeev under the leadership of Alexei Varlamov.
Talented and lucky
In 1971, Gordeev became the laureate of the All-Union Ballet Competition, and in 1973 he won the gold medal and the first prize of the Moscow International Competition, in which Nadezhda Pavlova became the winner of the grand prix. This competition is considered to be the birthplace of the famous duet - Nadezhda Pavlova and Vyacheslav Gordeev. By this time, the young soloist of the Bolshoi Theater was already a recognized star of the Soviet ballet, known abroad and kindly by the government. Although 5 times he became restricted to travel abroad, either the authorities or the conduct always intervened, and Vyacheslav Mikhailovich caught up with his troupe in the capitals of the world.
Still hyperactive
Vyacheslav Gordeev, whose personal life by that time was overgrown with legends, denied nothing and did not make excuses for anything. He was credited with relations with dozens of wives of billionaires and even presidents, and he became a travel abroad twice because of the love of foreign women to him. I must say that Gordeev possessed amazing energy and efficiency. And due to these natural data, it was enough for both love and work. First marriage
Nadezhda Pavlova and Vyacheslav Gordeev became a famous Soviet couple who represented the style of the Bolshoi Theater of the 70s. In 1975, the "golden boy" and the "miracle girl" got married, and in 1986 divorced.
They were visible and too successful not to envy many representatives of the Bolshoi Theater troupe. Vyacheslav Mikhailovich himself believes that if a couple is dancing together, then it is better for families to have separate families: it’s hard to be around all the time, you need to find rest in the family from work, in work from the family. They say their marriage was created by the KGB and was initially bankrupt.
The second marriage and the creation of their own theater
Gordeev’s second marriage also fell apart, although it lasted more than 20 years. My wife was Maya Saidova (Rudenko), two children were born in the marriage. Gordeev Vyacheslav Mikhailovich - a happy person. Everything that he undertakes, he succeeds. He received the title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1984 at the age of 36 years. Gordeev received awards both as a dancer, and as a director, and as a choreographer. In 1983, he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, and in 1987 - from the GITIS Choreography Department, in which he taught ballet teachers from 1993 to 1998.
