New York Airports on a map of the city are nearby Manhattan. There are three in total in the city. It takes about an hour to get from the center to any of them. If you want to move from one to another, it is best to use a shuttle. It should be noted that all New York airports are able to accept international flights.
John F. Kennedy Airport
The main air gate of not only the city itself, but of all of North America, is John F. Kennedy Airport. It consists of eight terminals and is located in Queens. Lower Manhattan is nineteen kilometers from here. Aeroflot flights from Russia are accepted to the first terminal, Delta - to the third, Transaero - to the fourth. After passing the control and getting luggage, you need to choose a method for further movement to the center. In this case, you can use the link "Air Train" -metro or order a taxi. In both the first and second cases, the move will take about forty minutes.
La Guardia Airport
Like the rest of New York's airports, La Guardia is relatively close to Manhattan. It consists of four terminals, mainly receiving and sending flights in local traffic, as well as from other states of the American continent and the Caribbean region. In this regard, domestic and European tourists get here only in case of further travel through the United States. An interesting feature of La Guardia is that absolutely all aircraft, when landing and taking off from here, fly in the immediate vicinity of Manhattan, more precisely, at a distance of about one kilometer from it. This is an unforgettable view that other New York airports cannot provide. You can take a taxi to the city center from here in half an hour. A little more time will be required when traveling on a bunch of bus-metro.
Newark Airport

Newark is located 24 kilometers from Manhattan, but in the territory of the neighboring state of New Jersey. This is the domestic and international airport of New York, consisting of three passenger terminals, one cargo and one helicopter. It should be noted that one of them ("C") is completely occupied by the United States operator United, which is better known under the former name Continental. She serves international and domestic flights. There is no passport and border control at the terminal “A”, therefore liners of American companies land and take off here in the domestic traffic. The only exception is Air Canada. Absolutely all intercontinental flights of European airlines are accepted at terminal “B”. After landing in Newark, there are several options for further moving to the city center, as when landing at other airports in New York. The simplest one is a taxi. In addition to it, you can use the link “Air train” -electric train, or “Air train” - RATN (a subway line that connects New Jersey and Manhattan and runs under the Hudson River). In all three cases, the travel time is approximately fifty minutes.
