Planting shrubs during site improvement

In the design of the general view of the garden, great importance is attached to cultural plantings, namely, species compositions, organization on the site, as well as the age of the crops. Planting fruit trees and shrubs is a very important stage in garden improvement. It’s hard enough to imagine a site on which there would not be these stands.

Planting ornamental shrubs requires some accuracy. If the technology is not followed, it is possible to destroy the plants not only two to three weeks after immersing them in the soil, but also much later, when, it would seem, they have taken root.

It should be said that different species of wood crops differ from each other in the shape and color of the trunks, the texture of the bark. These differences are successfully used by landscapers to achieve this or that decorative effect. In winter, when there are no leaves, the contours of the garden emphasize openwork crowns of the original and varied colors. During flowering, like other plants, shrubs are very decorative.

The size, color, duration and duration of flowering of various species must be taken into account when drawing up the landscape design of the site. According to the landscaping scheme, shrubs and other crops are planted. Properly distributed plantings throughout the site will delight with flowering, replacing each other from May until late autumn. One of the distinguishing features of tree and shrub species is their longevity and appearance variability, which is observed throughout the entire period of their development and growth. Knowing about the characteristics of plants ensures that shrubs and other crops will be planted skillfully, using the basic techniques for distributing plantings throughout the site. One or another method is determined in accordance with landscape architecture. Among the main methods by which planting shrubs is carried out by landscapers, vertical gardening, as well as single, group and ordinary plantings, are distinguished.

When distributing plantations over a site, it is necessary to be guided not only by the external characteristics of plants. It is also important to know about the degree of resistance of certain crops to frost, their exactingness to soil properties, and their ability to resist diseases and pests. Some seedlings have a fairly high cost, and also differ in the duration of feeding, a certain difficulty in transplanting an adult plantation to a new place. This further emphasizes the importance of proper planning, selection and placement of plants on the site.

The right combination of plants that are not particularly demanding for care, and those plantings for which care requires certain knowledge and skills, will turn gardening into a pleasant activity, and not a heavy duty.

As a rule, all shrubs are perennial, and therefore grow for a long period in one place. It is not recommended to plant photophilous cultures in the shade and vice versa, in the open space for the sun - shade-tolerant. The landing pit should be dug thirty to forty centimeters deep and about fifty to seventy centimeters wide. Pits are filled with decomposed manure or other fertilizer. Shade-tolerant shrubs require more fertilizer (about one and a half times). In accordance with the growth force, the distance between the stands should be from eighty centimeters to three meters. You can plant crops in the spring, autumn, and in some situations even in the summer. However, in the latter case, shrubs with a lump of land are recommended. In the spring, planting plants after snow melts, before buds open.
