The Nyazepetrovsk reservoir located in the Chelyabinsk region is located next to the small town of the same name. This artificial pond was formed due to the closure of the Ufa river bed in the Soviet years. It supplies drinking water to almost the entire Middle Urals. The reservoir is so clean and transparent that even at a depth of several meters you can see its muddy bottom.
The city of Nyazepetrovsk (Chelyabinsk region), near which a reservoir was created in 1976, got its name from the Nyaz River, and also on behalf of its founder, the Balakhon merchant Pyotr Osokin, who owned the local iron foundry and ironworks.
Description
In length, this Ural artificial reservoir reaches twelve thousand, and in width - up to seven hundred meters. Its depth is shallow. On average, it is about eight meters. The surface area of the reservoir is about twenty-four square kilometers.
Nyazepetrovsk reservoir is a river type. On its south side there is a mineral spring. The water level in it is under constant control: it always stands at one mark. It was decided to place a dam designed to block the reservoir in the city of Nyazepetrovsk. After the completion of its construction, the water level here rose dramatically, as a result of which many small rivers that flowed into Ufa were flooded. Now, large bays have formed on this site, as clean as the Nyazepetrovsky reservoir.
In general, the Chelyabinsk region is rich in water bodies. However, the described is on a special account. The fact is that it supplies drinking water to almost the entire Middle Urals. Moreover, it fills the channel of such a river as Chusovaya.
Fishing
Transparent water, muddy bottom, lack of bushes and backwaters, wooded shores made this pond a place where many residents of the region come to rest. Moreover, an osprey is found here - a bird listed in the Russian Red Book.
Inveterate fishermen have long been chosen by the Nyazepetrovsk reservoir. Amateur fishing here until 2010 was carried out completely free of charge. It was possible to fish both from the shore and from the boat (although, of course, using the craft, the catch would be much richer). But for several years fishing has been paid here, since part of the reservoir has been transferred for use.
Who can be caught
Judging by the reviews, fishing on the described reservoir is quite successful. Like many other bodies of water in the Chelyabinsk region, Nyazepetrovsky especially attracts fans of "silent hunting" with its trophy underwater inhabitants, in particular, pike perch. In general, there is the most diverse fish. The main objects for fishing here, in addition to zander, for which the vast majority of lovers of “quiet hunting” come, are also chub, ruff, rudd, chebak, ide, pike, burbot, carp, etc. Since some of the bays are transferred for use, their owners are engaged in fish farming.
By the way, perch densely populating this pond has an average of three hundred grams. Several years ago, twenty thousand individuals of the growing carp and four thousand peled were released into the Nyazepetrovsk reservoir. In winter, after the formation of strong ice, there is active fishing for bream.
"Luck Mecca"
There are a lot of fans to catch this representative of the perch family. Moreover, the Nyazepetrovsk reservoir is famous for trophy pike perch. It is difficult to say where he came from here, but successful anglers boast that they managed to pull out seven- and even eight-kilogram specimens. This fish is mainly caught when it chases a trifle. Most often, zander is found in the middle layers of water. When strong temperature drops of water are observed, it lives on the surface and at the bottom. Catch it with jig heads and wobblers.
By the way, very often the Nyazepetrovsk reservoir is called the “foolish Mecca”. After all, it is precisely for this prey that a huge number of fishermen come here. And this is not surprising: according to reviews, here in one day, under favorable conditions, you can pull up to four hundred kilograms of catch.
Fishing features
In most sections of the reservoir, the depth from 7-8 m increases sharply to fifteen or even twenty. Therefore, in such places wobblers with low immersion are not suitable. Experienced anglers recommend using jig heads weighing up to fifteen grams.
Because of this depth, it is difficult to find the characteristic habitats of predators, so it is worth using an echo sounder. With it, it is easy to detect areas with sharp drops in depths that need to be caught in the first place. It is also necessary to pay attention to barely visible flooded trees: a pike often stands here. In general, there are very few coasts from which you can comfortably catch on the Nyazepetrovsk reservoir. Mostly they are tall and steep. Therefore, going fishing, you should still grab a rubber boat.
How to get there
From the regional center of Chelyabinsk, the Nyazepetrovsk reservoir is 230 kilometers away. You can get to it along the highway leading to Yekaterinburg. Having left Chelyabinsk, you need to follow the highway to Argayash, and already in it go along the ring to Kyshtym. Having passed this settlement, you should continue the way to Kasli, after - to Verkhny Ufaley and move to Nyazepetrovsk.
Three kilometers before entering the city there is a southward turn. If you turn on it, you can immediately find yourself on the northern shore of the reservoir.
Where to relax
The shores of the named artificial reservoir are completely covered with forests. There is no noisy tourist infrastructure, although the reservoir has a mineral spring. The transport hubs did not spoil the charm of the Ural taiga. There is only one recreation center.
Nyazepetrovsk reservoir is famous not only for its underwater inhabitants. Its shores are excellent hunting grounds. And the mentioned recreation center is a few wooden log cabins with all amenities. People who like to combine relaxation with their favorite pastime - hunting or fishing often come here.
Reviews
Fishing on the Nyazepetrovsk reservoir, as many lovers of “silent hunting” say, can be compared with fishing in the Norwegian fjords. This artificial pond is very similar to a huge clear lake with many small and medium islands. Moreover, it seems to be enclosed in the arms of the mountains.
In some places, the depth even surpasses forty meters. In such places, mainly freshwater predators are found - cyprinids or whitefish. Better to catch them by trolling - on the track. The pleasure that fishing at the Nyazepetrovsk reservoir will bring will be remembered for a long time. Well, spending the night in a tent on the shore of this clean reservoir attracts residents of nearby cities so much that they break out here almost every weekend.
