But it’s not enough just to download the font you like, you still need to install it. In this article, we will examine the installation of fonts using the example of a Gothic Russian font. You can install it in different ways, but we will analyze the simplest one.

If you download the Gothic font for the Latin alphabet, then Russian characters will not be displayed, since they do not have settings for this font. Therefore, it is necessary to download specifically the Gothic font, tailored to the Russian alphabet. Such fonts exist, they are easy to find.

After successfully downloading the font, you must install it. As mentioned earlier, the installation can be done by different methods. We’ll choose one that allows you to use the Russian Gothic font in Photoshop and other text / graphic editors that support it. You need to find the folder where the previously downloaded file is located. We open the downloaded file, and in the window that appears, you can observe examples of writing with this font. If everything suits you, then at the top of the window we are looking for the "Install" function. The installation will include this font in the shared registry, which is located on the system drive in the Fonts folder.

Now the gothic font is added to the system. You can verify this by going to Photoshop, Word, and other programs that support working with text. The font will appear in the lists available for use. You can delete it both through the program, and finally through the Fonts folder.
