Indeed, most of the available options for options and tariffs imply a certain amount of traffic that is provided to the user at maximum speed. After this limit has been exhausted, it becomes almost impossible to use the Internet, since the speed limit that is in effect until the end of the billing period is triggered. Many cellular companies that provide their subscribers with access to the Global Network have developed special packages that activate additional Internet volume. Megafon was no exception: in the list of options that allow you to add speed, you can find as many as two sentences. It is about them that will be discussed in this article.
Packages "Extend Internet Speed"
For subscribers who have packages activated on their numbers, implying a certain amount of traffic within the billing period, as well as tariff plans with megabytes included, the speed extension options will be an excellent way for you when the speed is reduced due to exceeding the established traffic. In total, there are two options for such options, with which you can add one and five gigabytes. The cost of these services will depend on the region where the SIM card is registered and used. For example, in Samara it is 195 rubles and 260 rubles. You can activate additional Megafon Internet volume only if you have a basic option / tariff with the included data volume.
Connection conditions and use of speed-extending options
- Connection of the package is carried out if there is the necessary amount of funds in the account. At the expense of the operator (if the promised payment is connected), activation is not performed.
- If the speed extension package was connected before the traffic on the main package was over, then the remaining volume for the main option will be consumed first, and then the one that was connected for the purpose of speed extension.
- The additional amount of Megafon Internet provided within the considered options expires before a new period for the main package arrives (for example, you have a package connected on October 1, in the middle of the month the traffic has been exhausted and a package increasing the speed of 1 gigabyte has been activated; act such a package will be until October 31 or until it is fully consumed). With the onset of a new period, the volume of traffic for the main option will be updated.
- You can connect multiple packages at the same time. The volume of traffic on them will be summarized.
- If in the period in which any of the packages that prolongs the speed was activated, the tariff was changed (for example, TP with megabytes enabled), the option will continue.
How to connect the “Prolong Speed” package (1 GB)
To activate a package that extends speed within one gigabyte, you need to dial a request of the form * 370 * 1 * 1 # and wait for a notification about the successful activation of the option. A similar procedure can be performed in your account by pressing the desired button. It is also possible to receive traffic through a text message: for this, send SMS to 05009061 with the number one in the text. Disabling the package is not required: as soon as all the megabytes included in it are spent, it will automatically be deactivated. If before the onset of the new billing period, the subscriber did not manage to use the additional volume of the Megafon Internet, then it will be destroyed. Thus, it makes no sense to connect a large package if there is little time left before the start of a new billing period.
How to connect the “Prolong Speed” package (5 GB)
To activate a package that extends the speed within five gigabytes, you need to dial a request of the form * 370 * 2 * 1 # and wait for a notification about the successful activation of the option. A similar procedure can be performed in your account by pressing the desired button. It is also possible to receive traffic through a text message: for this, send SMS to 05009062 with the number one in the text.
Set the Internet "Megaphone" "for yourself", using the option to extend the speed. If at some point the volume of traffic that is provided for by the tariff plan or the option activated on the number becomes insufficient for working on the network, then by connecting one of the packages, you can continue to use the WAN comfortably at an acceptable speed.
