“Nonsense” - a performance, reviews of critics and viewers about which will be considered in our article, is successfully performed in the Moscow Taganka Theater. Reviews about this performance, as well as about any other theatrical work, are different, but for the most part they are positive. The audience, which has long been oversaturated with action films and thrillers on television screens and, perhaps, is already slightly tired of the original avant-garde productions and deep complex hidden author's ideas, is very pleased to meet a light comedy, the viewing of which cheers up and helps to relax.
But in fairness, it is worth noting that “Nothing” is a performance, reviews of which are not only positive. Many criticize the actors' play, and the humor in the play is called too primitive. But as they say, you won’t please everyone, and this performance on Taganka really managed to find its grateful audience.
Play author
The play "Nonsense" (with Olesya Zheleznyak in one of the main roles) was staged based on the play of the same name. Its author is Marc Camolleti, a fairly popular French contemporary playwright. At one time, the name of Camolleti was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records, thanks to one of the comedic plays written by him called Boeing Boeing. It was she who became the work that is most often played in theaters in more than 60 countries of the world.
The works of this author are rightfully considered the standard of modern comedy. Camolleti is distinguished by the fact that in his plays there is always an intensive development of the plot, passions are constantly heating up, and this is all accompanied by sparkling humor and famously twisted intrigue, which in the finale is not always allowed to be expected. An exception was not his play "Nonsense." The performance (theater on Taganka), staged on this play, enjoys the audience success.
The main idea of the author
“Nonsense” - a performance whose reviews often relate specifically to its plot, tells us about the things that we encounter in everyday life. The basic idea may seem very banal, but at the same time it remains very relevant to this day. She tells the viewer that one should never judge a person by his appearance and behavior in a particular situation. The play “Mouthless” with Olesya Zheleznyak in the title role shows that even the most short-sighted, at first glance, character can show himself completely unexpectedly and demonstrate the wonders of lightning quickness, if the circumstances require it. The play shows how those who make fun and chuckle at what they think is a close-up girl, when changing familiar circumstances, themselves begin to look completely stupid and ridiculous. And that which was considered uneducated by the lack of education, can become envy savvy and smart.
The plot of the play
In one of the chic houses, a completely ordinary married couple lives - a husband named Bernard, whose role on the stage of the theater is embodied by actor Andrei Ilyin, and his wife Jacqueline, played by actress and TV presenter Julia Menshova. Judging by the scenery, the house of this couple is quite well equipped, and the family has a certain material income. Chic outfits and a fashionable Jacqueline hairstyle make it clear that this heroine is a real fashionista and a coquette. Her husband creates the impression of a dandy. This couple lives together and, it would seem, the spouses are quite happy with each other: the husband brings money to the house and supports the family, and the wife is beautiful.

Once they decide that they need a housekeeper, and call for a servant from the village. She turns out to be the main character named Anna. Her role is played by actress Olesya Zheleznyak. At first glance, her heroine seems like a near-by girl from the village. She creates a look of awkward and not quite smart. The owners do not miss the opportunity to laugh at their new servant and make fun of her. It seems to them that she is stupid and does not understand elementary and familiar things. But by and large, Anna is quite happy with them. She cooks, maintains order in the house and, most importantly, doesn’t put her nose into the affairs of the owners. What the heroine Olesya Zheleznyak thinks about her employers is not entirely clear, but, for her part, she is glad that she now has work, a roof over her head and the opportunity to earn money.
Intensity of emotions
Once the circumstances in the family of Jacqueline and Bernard develop in such a way that their house should be empty for several days. The head of the family leaves for business on a business trip. In order for the wife not to be bored alone without her husband, it was decided that she would go to stay with her mother for several days. Since it makes no sense to keep a servant in an empty house, the owners decide to send Anna to the village for a few days and visit her relatives. But the maid decides not to waste the money earned from the new owners. Anna thought that she didn’t have to go to the village at all, and, having waited for the owners to go their separate ways, she returned to the house, which had been empty for several days.
Further, it becomes clear that the decision to return was made not only by the maid, but also by the owners themselves, only they did not warn each other about this. The fact of adultery becomes obvious, because Bernard returned to the house with his mistress and Jacqueline, in turn, returned to the house with another man. None of the spouses is aware that their legitimate soul mates are in the house, they are sure that they stay at home only with their lovers.

Ironically, only a near-minded servant possesses full information, who understands with her mind that if her masters convict each other of treason, then this will not end in anything good. “Nonsense” (a performance whose reviews are both delightfully positive and vice versa, quite negative) demonstrates how a person who has long been the object of ridicule suddenly turns into the main puppeteer. After all, now Anna is the one who keeps in her head a huge flow of information, controls the situation and does everything possible so that those who are in the house do not accidentally meet each other. She remembers which of the inhabitants of the master's house is now in the bathroom, who is in the bedroom, and who is basking in the fireplace. She remembers who ordered wine and who ordered bourbon; which of them are croissants.
Yesterday's idiot and silly girl, in a word - idiot, begins to show miracles of ingenuity and quick wisdom, which can be envied by both inventive tactics and visionary strategists.
The performance of “Best Moth”: reviews (Moscow)
Most of the spectators who attended this performance leave their positive feedback. They say that the performance is very light and leaves a great mood after watching. It is played in the form of a kind of vaudeville vortex, the scenes change very quickly, and the plot development is completely unplanned. The performance “Nothing”, the duration of which is 2 hours 25 minutes, is played with one intermission and looks at one go.
This is largely due to the writing style of the play itself, since the author, Marc Camolleti, is famous for the fact that the plots in his works develop at lightning speed, they have no drawn scenes, in a word - a whirlwind performance. Well, and, of course, many pay tribute to the actors who coped well with their roles. Spectators note that thanks to their play, the performance is perceived very easily and naturally.
Negative comments from viewers after watching
For the sake of fairness, it is worth noting that the play "Nonsense" with Olesya Zheleznyak in the role of Anna is also criticized. As you know, each viewer has his own perception of what is happening and the fact that many are delighted, some can disappoint. Among the negative reviews, paradoxical as it may seem, but there are those who speak about the plot being drawn, for many the story seems too predictable.
The humor that comes from the theater scene seemed to some of the audience base and primitive. Also, in contrast to those who praise the acting in this production, there are those who were dissatisfied with this very game. Most often, the performer of the role of Jacqueline - Julia Menshova, is criticized.
Cast
The role of the main character, Anna's maid, was performed by actress Olesya Zheleznyak. The general public saw her many years ago in the comedy series "My Fair Nanny", where Olesya played Galya - the best friend of the main character.
She was later seen in the films Maroseyka 12 and Love in the City, where Zheleznyak also played comedic roles. But the theater-goers know this actress from serious theatrical works, in such productions as The Royal Games, The Jester Balakirev, The Moulin Rouge Hospital, The Master and Margarita.
Julia Menshova is also known to a wide audience mainly for television works. For a long time she starred in the TV series "Balzac Age, or all men are their own ...", now she is broadcasting "Alone with All." But the list of theatrical works of Menshova is also quite worthy. For several years she worked as part of the Moscow Art Theater troupe . Chekhov, where she played in performances such as “Halibut Day” and “Nameless Star”.
Male roles went to well-known and beloved public actors, including Andrei Noskov and Andrei Ilyin.
Praise for acting
“Nonsense” - a performance in which the actors are selected, according to most critics, very well. Most often, praise is dedicated specifically to Oles Zheleznyak. Many write that almost the entire performance rests on her, and it is clear that the actress on the theater stage is fully laid out.
Actors criticism
Most of the criticism from the audience goes to Menshova. Most likely, contemplating the play of this actress on the theatrical stage, many can not ignore her on-screen image of the TV presenter. Now, many people know Julia thanks to her popular program called "Alone with everyone." In some comments there is an opinion that Julia does not completely lose her image, and sometimes she simply reads the memorized text with different intonations, like a television announcer. This opinion is controversial, since most of the professional critics about the game Menshova speaks rather flattering.

At one of the forums there is also a statement by a certain spectator that the performance itself seemed boring to him. And, in his opinion, it was noticeable that some actors themselves already miss. It was again about Yulia Menshova. It is clear that the opinion of one viewer can be considered subjective, but it also has a right to exist. It is possible that playing this performance 10 times in a row, Menshova could get a little bored of it.
