Pioneer FH-X360UB - model 2 DIN radio, manufactured since 2014. It is one of the most budgetary 2 DIN radio tape recorders among its competitors. Most often, the word "cheap" is associated with China. But it is not so. Even for a small price, the Pioneer FH-X360UB has great functionality that not every model can boast.

Overview
A review of the Pioneer FH-X360UB is worth starting with the fact that its sound is far from the highest level. All because of the overlap of low frequencies high. Because of this, the bass is heard muffled, which spoils the whole picture of the sound.
But the design is top notch. The radio looks modern thanks to its four touch buttons and a large convenient encoder. The display is usual for 1 DIN radio, symbol cells are visible, at an angle the screen loses brightness. The functions of the radio include playing music from CDs, flash drives, FM radio and the ability to connect third-party devices to listen to music through an aux cable.
Installing the Pioneer FH-X360UB is easy. At the back is a power connector.
According to professionals, the sound in the Pioneer FH-X360UB is not the best. The sound is pleasant by ear, but the lack of low frequencies quite noticeably affects the sound quality.
On the front panel there is a display, on top of it is a drive for CD, CD-RW and CD-R discs. On the left is the drive eject button. Below the display are the buttons of your favorite radio stations, the second function of which are: pause, stop, repeat the playing track or random playback.
It is difficult not to notice the large encoder at the bottom of the radio, which is responsible for adjusting the volume level. It is rather slippery, which complicates the work with it. In the top models of radio tape recorders, it is either rubberized, or there are notches on it for more convenient use. To the right of it are buttons to switch tracks. Around the encoder are 4 touch buttons that are responsible for searching, connection mode, returning one action back and returning to the main menu.
To the right of the encoder is a USB connector for connecting external devices. Under it is a mini-jack.
The touch button with the search icon is not in vain. Its main purpose is to search for files in the directory of the connected media. To use this function, press the search button, then use the buttons 1 and 2 located under the display to open folders and select a track using the keys on the sides of the encoder. To return an action, the "Return by one action" function is provided.
The Pioneer FH-X360UB has 7 equalizer modes; you can also adjust the value of all frequencies individually. To search for nearby radio stations, you need to switch the radio to FM radio mode, then press the button to switch tracks - the radio will be found automatically. For manual search, you need to hold the switch.
On the rear panel there is an antenna input, a power connector, an adapter for controlling the radio buttons on the steering wheel, connectors for connecting speakers.
Each compartment on the screen consists of 7 segments. When viewing the screen at an angle, the brightness drops slightly, as in most radio systems with such a screen.
Also a good plus is the presence of such a supported format as WAV. Such files take up little space, so that you can put all the desired information on the media.
Reviews
Reviews about the Pioneer FH-X360UB mixed. All negative responses are similar in that they discuss sound quality, which is not the best here. But the radio is worth the money thanks to the following advantages:
- the presence of touch buttons looks modern and makes it more compact;
- large encoder;
- manual drummer;
- price;
- Great design for 2 DIN radio.
Minuses:
- slippery encoder;
- small buttons of saved radio stations (perhaps this is such a design move);
- sound quality;
- dim display when tilted.
Output
For a relatively low cost, which averages $ 100 (7,000 rubles), the Pioneer FH-X360UB has good functionality, but the sound quality leaves much to be desired. But you can not count on the fact that all the characteristics will be top-end. For comparison: the average cost of a 2 DIN radio is $ 300 (20,000 rubles). Therefore, for this price, this unit works out with a bang.
