Pistol "Ceset". Features and photos of the "Czech miracle"

Today there is a wide variety of different models of pistols. Among them, on a special account, are such classic models of firearms as the well-known Colt M1911 and Beretta 92. They are recognized as a reference and are the basis for the creation of many other models. Among them - a unique Czech weapon, a Ceset pistol.

Cz 52. The history of the first model

In 1950, the designers brothers Yan and Yaroslav Kratohvil specially created for the Czechoslovak army pistol "Ceset 52".

In the production process, employees of the Ceska zbrojovka Strakonice plant were involved. Initially, the first Ceset pistol was designed for ammunition “Parabellum” caliber 9x19 mm. But later, according to the Warsaw Treaty on the unification of ammunition, the design of the Czech pistol was altered to a caliber of 7.62x25mm. The transformation of weapons involved the Czech designer Jiri Chermak in the town of Uhersky Brod. In addition to changing the caliber, the self-resetting mode was also abolished. After all the changes in 1952, the Chezet pistol was adopted by the Automaticky Pistole Vz / 52. This model was used until 1975.

Design features

Gun "Ceset" The 52nd year of production is equipped with automation, which works on the principle of recoil with a short course of the barrel. The two rollers and slider available in the design lock the barrel channel. They are located in the back of the barrel and enter the internal grooves-recesses in the shutter housing. When carrying out the firing of all cartridges available in the store, the bolt shield is shifted to the rear position and fixed there using the bolt delay integrated in the design . The trigger guard at its base has a double-sided barrel lock. As sights, an unregulated front sight and rear sight are used. The latter is fixed in a groove called the “dovetail”, and provides for the implementation of lateral amendments.

Trigger mechanism

The Ceset 52 pistol is equipped with a trigger system, which belongs to the trigger type.

It is distinguished by a single action and a safety cocking trigger. The safety lock serves as a lever for safety when pulling the trigger from the cock. It is located on the left side of the frame. There are three modes for a fuse:

  • firing mode (flag fuse lowered to the lower position);
  • safe trigger release from a cock (a safety lock is lifted up);
  • the gun is on the fuse (fuse in the middle position).

Punching quality cartridges

The initial velocity of the bullet is 560 m / s. Its achievement was made possible through the use of an enhanced charge of gunpowder. Such ammunition creates a high pressure of powder gases in the barrel of the weapon. It cannot be used for other brands of pistols designed for conventional cartridges, since there is a risk of rupture of the barrel. The use of bullets of penetrative action distinguishes military pistols designed to defeat the enemy in body armor or protected by a shelter. From a distance of 50 meters, a regular Czech cartridge pierces a sheet of steel 0.6 cm thick. It provides a flat path for the bullet. This gun is suitable for aimed shooting at various distances thanks to the convenient handle, which is equipped with a Ceset pistol.

disadvantages

The Cz 52 model is nowadays considered a rarity and is valued as a unique weapon, which has some disadvantages:

  • The presence of strong and sharp recoil when shooting.
  • The brittle steel of the striker is subject to frequent breakdowns if the gun is mismanaged. Triggering requires weapon skills.
  • Manual fuse control complicates the operation. Automatic trigger pulling leads to spontaneous shots, especially in the presence of breakage of the drummer. The fuse is activated only after the trigger is pulled manually.
  • With careless care of the Cz 52, barrel rusting is possible.
  • With improper heat treatment, cracks are likely to occur in places with a high load.
  • The gun, due to its long barrel length, is not intended for hidden carrying.
  • Cz 52 cannot be used for self-defense, because of the penetrative qualities of the cartridges there is a risk of defeat of third parties.
  • The caliber 7.62x25 mm is not designed to quickly neutralize the enemy.

Nowadays, the Cz 52 is a collection weapon and can be used for recreational shooting.

Model Cz 75

In 1975, at an exhibition in Madrid, connoisseurs and amateurs of firearms first saw the Czech pistol Ceset 75. Its design is very popular and is copied in the production of other models. The developers of the design of the pistol are brothers Yosef and Frantisek Kouchki. Work on the product was carried out at the Ceska zbrojovka factory. The aim of the project was to manufacture weapons for export to Turkey, Iran, Iraq, since the Czechoslovak army was already equipped with Cz 52 pistols. Nowadays, the Cz 75 is used by large police departments of the United States of America. The model gained wide popularity due to such distinctive qualities as design reliability, accuracy, well-thought-out ergonomics and low cost.

Variations

  • The most common version of the Chezet pistol is considered to be a weapon designed for the 9x19 mm Parabellum cartridge - the Chezet 775 pistol. Along with the Glock and Beretta 92 models, it is used by prosecutors and investigators of the Russian Federation as a weapon for personal self-defense.
  • Cz 97. An enlarged version of Cz 75. Modification of the pistol for 9x19 mm caliber is made for export to those countries where the ban on army cartridges is in effect. Mostly this is the market of the United States of America, where this model is very popular.
  • Czech “Cadet”. Training, entertaining or traumatic gun. The Chezet 75 "(model" Cadet ") is equipped with a set of parts necessary for the conversion of finished weapons with the aim of using 5.6 mm caliber ammunition. These cartridges are characterized by ring ignition.
  • Cz 75 Automatik. It was developed in 1992 based on the model of the 75th year. Automatic modification is designed for firing bursts (1000 rounds in one minute). Reliable retention of the gun is carried out using a special mount that performs two functions - it is used as a front handle and a spare pistol magazine. Some samples at the very beginning of production had an elongated barrel - compensator. Over time, this modification of the Cz 75 began to be produced with a standard barrel.

  • Cz 75 P-01. It is a compact model of a Czech pistol. Since 2001, used by the Czech police.

traumatic gun ceset

  • Cz 75 Semicompakt. This is a miniature model, characterized by a reduced handle, magazine capacity and barrel length. The gun has a small weight, because its design is based on a frame of aluminum, not steel.

How does the Cz 75 work?

  • The entire series of pistols is equipped with automation using recoil energy with a short barrel stroke.
  • With the help of two combat stops, the barrel is locked. There is an interaction between the figured neckline located under the barrel in the tide, and the bolt lever.
  • In the production of frames and shutters, stainless steel is used.
  • The frame inside has guides along which the shutter performs its movement. Thus, the shutter housing moves along the inner rails, and not on the outer. This has a beneficial effect on the life of the weapon.
  • Trigger trigger designed for double action. On the left side of the frame is a fuse. On the same side there is a lever that performs a shutter lag.
  • Sights are identical to the Cz 52. But unlike the 52-year-old weapon, the Chezet 75 is equipped with fifteen rounds. Later, the capacity of the pistol magazine increased by another round.

What happens during the shot?

The Browning automation system, which is considered the most reliable and easiest to implement, is used in the design of the model. It is used in the designs of many models of automatic pistols.

  • In the upper part of the barrel there are special protrusions that engage the barrel and bolt with each other. They come in motion under the influence of powder gases during firing. This process appears as a result of attempts by powder gases to push the sleeve out of the chamber locked by the bolt.
  • The bolt and barrel that came into motion reduce the breech of the pistol, as a result of which the barrel, coming out of the clutch, stops its movement.
  • Removing the cartridge case from the chamber, its ejection and cocking of the trigger are made by the slide cover. A return spring begins to act on it, which pushes the casing back. Moving back, the bolt removes a new cartridge from the pistol magazine, sends it to the chamber.
  • During the movement of the bolt casing forward, the breech of the barrel is lifted; subsequently, the barrel and the bolt engage for the next cycle.
