Only a feeder can provide fishing at a strictly defined point in the reservoir. Moreover, it does not matter what the course of the river or the distance from the coast is. In addition, it is safe to say that feeder gear is the best option for fishing in windy weather.
Currently, three main categories of fishing rods are offered in the fishing market:

The largest range of applications are mediums, they are the most popular among fishermen. Perfect for fishing with a feeder, and with a sinker. They are effective both on rivers and on calm lakes. Finally, heavy rods are good only on rivers with a pronounced course.
Such a separation is not accidental. Feeder gear should provide maximum sensitivity to bites. In stagnant ponds, the fish pecks very carefully, while in rivers the strong current constantly influences the feeder and fishing line. That is why it is recommended to use a more powerful and stronger rod. Otherwise, due to strong pressure on the tackle, bites will be invisible, which will minimize the entire catch.
It is worth considering in more detail the structure of the feeder rod. Its main part is tough, since it is required to withstand strong loads during casting. Flexible and thin is just the tip, its purpose is to register even the lightest bite. When casting, its effect is almost minimal. Very often, the assembly of feeder gear implies in the set of several interchangeable tops with different stiffness.
There are no special requirements for coils, only the presence of a clutch is necessary. This is necessary, because when fishing, the main load falls on the rod, and powerful jerks of weighty fish are monitored by a set clutch, which if necessary gives a fishing line.
