If the proxy server refuses to accept connections, this problem can be fixed, however, first of all, you should delete cookies from the browser. We have to clarify the actual IP address. This can be done through dedicated resources. At the time of establishing the IP address, do not use a proxy. Having received this data, after the configuration is complete, it will be possible to check whether we did everything correctly. If so, the proxy server error will not reoccur. There is one more step that must be completed before starting the setup. It's about choosing a proxy server. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the level of anonymity, geography and the supported protocol of work.
Cleaning
If the proxy server refuses to accept connections, open the "Tools" menu, select the "Settings" item. We pass to the section "Privacy". Click on the "Clear History" link. A new window will open. Select the “Clear All” function. Expand the details. We mark the items "Active Sessions", "Cache" and "Cookies". Next, use the "Clear Now" function.
Parameters
If the system does not have a connection to the proxy server, you must correctly configure the browser. For this purpose we pass to the section "Additional". Click the "Configure" button. If in a particular case all types of protocols are supported or if information about available solutions is missing, a number of steps should be followed. Go to the connection settings window. We use the manual setting function. Enter the IP address and the proxy port in the fields. If necessary, we confirm the use of the specified parameters for each of the protocols by checking the corresponding box. Close the window with the connection parameters by clicking on the OK button. If the proxy supports only SSL and HTTP, perform the following steps. Go to the connection settings window. We use manual proxy service configuration. Uncheck the box that allows you to use this solution for each of the protocols. Enter the IP address and port in the appropriate fields. The field called “SOCKS Node” must be left blank. Close the window with the connection parameters by clicking on the "OK" button. Now consider an action algorithm that will help if the proxy supports exclusively the SOCKS protocol. Again, go to the connection parameters window and apply manual configuration. Remove the usual checkmark. Indicate the IP address with the port in the field called “SOCKS host”. Below we select the supported protocol SOCKS5 or SOCKS4. In this case, we leave the following fields empty: FTP, SSL, HTTP. Close the window with the connection parameters using the "OK" button.
