“Wyoming incident” - this is the name of a strange (and many consider it mystical or mysterious) incident that occurred on November 22, 1987. A lot of speculation still goes around him. History has overgrown with details, and today it is no longer possible to determine what was true and what was a figment of fantasy.
It is only known for certain that the broadcast was interrupted that day, and then strange pictures appeared on the screens. They say that after the end of the video, which lasted only 6 minutes, many
went crazy. So what really happened? What was the Wyoming incident?
One of the popular versions
11/22/1987. Most Wyoming residents, clinging to the screens, watch with enthusiasm the next episode of the Doctor Who series. At 11:15 p.m., the film is interrupted, and a strange screensaver appears on the screens: “333-333-333 We Present A SPECIAL PRESENTATION.” The large letters seemed to be reflected at the bottom of the screen, and the black-gray color of the screensaver had an unpleasant effect on nerves. Then eerie, grating music poured from the screens. Later it was allegedly established that it was a very slow musical accompaniment to the film "Silent Hill", but maybe it's just speculation. A video sequence began to appear. The inscriptions flashed: "You're sick," Why do you hate "," We are watching you. "Paral tionary appeared on the screen projection of human heads.
They reflected different emotions and appeared for a split second, but it was clear: these people have long been dead. Probably, this was facilitated not only by
facial expressions, but also by their complete symmetry. After all, it is known that only the dead can face absolutely symmetrical. Six minutes later, the screen saver again appeared with the numbers 333-333-333, and the video ended. This is the part of the story that is as close to the truth as possible. Further, the Wyoming incident becomes similar to any popular horror story. It is said that dozens of people lost consciousness or inflicted mortal wounds on themselves. Others went to the hospital and went crazy there. This story has neither confirmation nor denial.
What could it be?
History has interested everyone. Mystics claimed that the broadcast was conducted from space, and the faces of aliens surfaced on the screen. Religious fans, as always, claimed that the end of the world was coming. The techies tried to determine how to technically explain the Wyoming incident. It turns out that doing this is easy. It is only necessary to have equipment capable of delivering a stronger signal than the one coming from the TV tower. Some believed that in 1987 this was impossible. Not true. Already then there were video recorders, and the technician watching the air was worthless to start up any image. More debate about the soundtrack. It is said that binaural beats, infrasound or other “dangerous” modulations were used. It is possible, but on equipment that costs a lot of money. It is unlikely that the organizers of the rally owned such equipment.
Effects
They are still being felt.
A few days later a similar video appeared on the screens in Ohio, but instead of the heads of the dead, dolls with bloody eyes were shown. Since then, the Wyoming incident has been replicated. Similar videos appear on the web all the time. Sometimes they have their own name. Sometimes they are touted as the “Wyoming incident 333-333-333,” but they always warn: “Immediately after watching, you will either go crazy, or die, or engage in self-mutilation.” There are many examples: “McDonalds Advertising in Japan”, “Mereana Mordegard Glesgorv”, “Suicidemouce.avi”, SSU video, many others. There are many fans to experiment and watch videos to the end. However, the film, based on the Wyoming incident, turned out to be the most visible and commercially viable. It is called "Call." The film has gathered millions, and its sequels appear almost every year.
