Some time ago, fishing on a silver carp was not considered a very promising activity. However, recently, when a variety of equipment began to appear, focused specifically on this fishing, the number of fans of quiet hunting for this fish has increased significantly. And today, for many, the most fascinating fishing is fishing for silver carp. In this case, the gear should be very reliable, since the bites of this fish are very strong.
Silver carp fish
I catch the silver carp fishermen consider the process fascinating, in which, if successful, they will have a very solid trophy. To catch this inhabitant of the reservoirs, a zakidka, feeder, as well as any carp sticks are used, but always with a good carrying capacity.
To cuddle this fish, many use such a lure as a silver carp favorite, like home-cooked peas. In order for the bait to be effective, it is necessary to cook this bean culture before the final boiling, so that its consistency resembles mashed potatoes.
Silver carp is a schooling fish that does not breed in some climatic zones of our country. He feeds on phytoplankton - microscopic algae. If future prey prefers to feed on the top, then the nozzle must be fed so that it always swims directly at the surface of the reservoir. For this, water-filled balls or floats are used, a leash from an inconspicuous fishing line, having a length of up to one and a half meters.
Season
Typically, the silver carp begin to catch in late May, and end in September. The best bite falls on the period from mid-June to the end of July. At night, this fish rarely pecks, although a bite is not excluded. She begins to quietly and reluctantly peck at six in the morning. But from eight o’clock until twelve, one must not forget to weaken the reel friction. Then the nibble fades sharply and until the end of the day has an average frequency of one or two per hour.
Seat selection
Those who catch polystyrene foam know that it is best to fish in private ponds where a large number of fish swim and very little vegetation, in a word, where there is a lack of food supply. Fishing on a thick-billed carp is also optimal in relatively small, rocky ponds where it is easier to find a flock. It is also important that they have a minimal number of crucian carp, which constantly pecks, making it difficult to catch really big prey.
In general, a place for fishing must be selected according to the following criteria:
- on a rocky, sandy or clay bottom;
- in depth - no more than 4 meters;
- in the headwind.
At the same time, the bait in the spring in the tackle of the silver carp should be free of defects, and the leash and hook should be very thin and strong. Many professionals know that this fish does not bite into the calm. And one more thing: you must always throw tackles on a silver carp at one point, and change the bait in the spring more often than once in half an hour. When casting, you must not drag the bait along the bottom or pull it when lowering it. The cloud from the spring should remain above it.
Bottom tackle on a silver carp
The rod should be designed specifically for such fishing with casting from 60 g and not shorter than 3.6 meters. If the spruce is selected shorter, the number of gatherings increases, because when fishing this strong enough fish likes to make unexpected jerks. Waiting for a bite, you can almost completely relax the reel clutch, so that in case of luck there is no significant stretch. At the same time, strong undercutting is not required: you just need to effortlessly pull the rigging without making slack. The fishing rod in the carp is not its most important part, so the fishermen are free to choose it, but the fishing line must be a carp size of 0.3 or 0.35 mm. The rod is most often chosen with rings. The only requirement for it is sufficient power, which allows not only to cast long-range gear onto a thick-carp, but also to display large enough specimens.
Design
The first leash should be about 15 cm long. It is tied to the swivel behind the bend. The second - two or three times shorter - is fixed on the fishing line about 5 cm above the upper branch edge. The third, measuring approximately like the first, is another quarter meter taller.
Silver carp takes the bait from any of the three leashes, however, the largest individuals fall on the first. On the other two bites, although they are relatively more frequent, they catch a smaller fish. The hooks on the bottom tackle on a silver carp should be as sharp as possible, while powerful but light. Nozzles can be used very different: Hungarian corn with any smell, including the aroma of caramel or vodka, green peas or pulp of a young cattail.

Many professionals are aware of the jaw structure of this fish. Her lower jaw protrudes slightly forward, and therefore it is clear that she cannot take the position perpendicular to the bottom in order to take the nozzle from there. It is clear that this fish cannot be caught from the bottom. This explains the fact that tackle on a silver carp look more like a float rod on the floor. Ideally, you can use the carp version. Tackles on a silver carp should be very powerful, because adults reach a weight of 30 kilograms or more. And if the equipment fails, then in the fight against such a large specimen the chances of the fisherman will be small. It is necessary to take into account the fact that fishing on a silver carp is a matter of a physically strong person, because when fighting, he strongly resists, especially at the initial stage.
"Killer Silverman"
.
Tackle with such a distinctive name is the most common today. At the same time, many professional fishermen do it with their own hands, not trusting the store choice. The “murderer of the silver carp” is done taking into account all the structural features of the mouth of the future prey and the principle of its nutrition. The attachment for this gear is technoplankton - a product designed specifically for catching this fish. For a silver carp, it is better to purchase a light-colored lure that quickly soaks in stagnant water.
Looks like “Fathead Killer” as a “barrel” with compressed lure. Along its axis, a hole is made in the center to fix it onto the "stick of a silver carp". At the same time, the rod should be very strong, and a shock leader must be attached to it. Its presence makes it possible when throwing not to break off the main fishing line.
Do it yourself
This float tackle appeared recently, but has already established itself quite well. The only disadvantage is the bulkiness of the design. A feature is the float, which is quite impressive in size. Many people prefer to do this part of the gear on a silver carp with their own hands from wire or from a bicycle spoke. The structure must have two or more leashes
In general, collecting tackle on a silver carp is quite simple. To do this, insert into the float designed for fishing nets, a 15-centimeter anti-twist made of plastic, on which a swivel is previously put on.
After that, a shock leader is passed through it, to which a sinker weighing 60 or 80 g is fixed. Then a 20-centimeter leash is attached to the swivel and the stick of a thick-bolder made of a bicycle spoke is already attached to the last.
