Novokuznetsk Drama Theater has existed for over eighty years. Today in his repertoire is a classic in its original form and in new readings, plays by modern playwrights and fairy tales for children.
Theater History
Novokuznetsk Drama Theater was opened in 1933. His first leader and director was Lina Samborskaya. Initially, the repertoire included only classics. The first performance was the play "Intervention" by Lev Slavin. In 1963, the theater received a new building, built for him according to the special project in which he lives today. Its auditorium is able to accommodate more than 600 art lovers. The building was built in the neoclassical style. Hugo is decorated with panels, bas-reliefs, murals and a colonnade.
At the beginning of the 21st century, the Novokuznetsk Drama Theater began to search for new forms and experiment. Viewers saw the classic plays in a new reading. Among them is the play "Hamlet", which has become scandalous.
In 2010, the theater building underwent large-scale reconstruction. Now there is the most modern technical equipment, the second stage, which demonstrates experimental performances and a theater museum.
The troupe has reached a higher level. Interesting original productions are increasingly being born. The theater often goes on tour and participates in festivals. Implements various projects.
In 2013, the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the theater. It lasted a whole week. As part of the celebration, many events were held, including several premieres. Spectators were shown a vivid mapping show that tells the story of the Novokuznetsk theater. The theater very often carries out works devoted to experiments and new readings of immortal classics.
Today, the main director of the theater is the young and bright Andrei Cherpin. He has a lot of ideas and plans.

About a poor girl-dweller who dreams of a successful marriage. About a landowner who wants to buy forests at a cheap price. And also about two provincial actors, one of which is a comedian, and the second is a tragedian. Each character has his own dream, which has a flip side.
