How to remove it, far from all guess. Not surprising! After all, getting rid of it by conventional methods is simply impossible. Therefore, you have to use very non-standard methods, which consist in manually deleting such threats (both files, folders, and registry keys), not to mention the main software in which they are written (in our case, it means the Google browser Chrome). However, first things first. First, consider what kind of threat it is, and then, in accordance with this, we will decide on the application of one way or another way to get rid of it.
Anti-obscene: what is this extension?
We begin our consideration of the question with what kind of add-in it is and how it appears in the browser. In general, it is believed that this extension is a kind of control tool that records the use of obscene expressions on certain Internet sites on the Internet, giving statistics in the form of the number of certain words and phrases in the panel. On the one hand, it seems to be the right thing. But is this add-on really harmless

In reality, the user is dealing with a virus component that simply monitors surfing the Internet. But here is the saddest question: โHow to remove Anti-obscene?โ It is not solved as easily as it might seem at first glance. The fact is that even in the add-on panel, unlike other extensions, for this add-in there is often no delete or disable button. Thus, the problem of how to remove the Anti-obscene 0.1 extension or some other version of it comes down to either using antispyware software or manually removing all its components (and sometimes also reinstalling the browser itself).
How does an add-in get into the system?
Itโs impossible to say exactly how the extension appears in the browser. It is believed that it can be embedded in such popular applications as Flash Player, torrent clients, some games, specialized downloaders that were downloaded not from official resources, but from sites with a dubious reputation.
As a result, we have what we have. The viral extension spontaneously appears in the browser, after which it begins its destructive activity. Because of it, it slows down YouTube, VK and other social networks, not to mention the constant monitoring of user visits and requests.
Anti-obscene Extension: how to remove the extension with the simplest method?
As already mentioned, there are several methods to get rid of this scourge (provided that it is impossible to disable it in the browser).
The easiest and most acceptable for most users will be the use of special software. If you believe the reviews, the AdwCleaner utility helps with the problem of how to remove Anti-obscene. The essence of its use is ohm, just to start the program, press the scan start button and clean. Do not be surprised that the folder path will match the location of the Chrome browser. Please note that before cleaning it is necessary to close absolutely all active user applications (this is very important!). Upon completion of the cleaning, it is imperative to completely reboot the computer system. After the restart, you can go into Chrome and make sure that the add-in has been removed. You can also see the result in a special text file of the report, which is created by the program during cleaning.
Anti-obscene 0.1: how to remove the extension manually?
But sometimes applications of this type of result do not give. This is especially often the case when the virus is firmly established in the system. In this case, the question of how to remove the Anti-obscene extension can be resolved exclusively by manual intervention.
First you need to close the browser, and then check the Micron directory, which is located in the user directory along the AppData \ Roaming path. If there is an Uninstall.exe uninstaller file in it, just run it and follow the instructions of the โWizardโ. At the end of the process, you need to delete the Micron folder itself.
After that, you need to find all Temp folders and clear their contents as temporary files (you can search directly from the "Explorer").
System registry actions
At the next stage, the problem of how to remove Anti-obscene involves deleting several sections of the system registry, the editor of which is called from the Run console by the line regedit.
Here you can also search or go through the directory tree sequentially through the HKLM branch through the SOFTWARE, Policies, Google and Chrome sections to the ExtensionInstallSources and ExtensionInstallForceList directories of interest to us, which you need to delete. On 64-bit systems, the transition to the Google Chrome browser extension folder is done through the SOFTWARE and WOW6432Node sections, where the Extensions directory is deleted.
Now, the question of how to remove Anti-obscene is up to you. You need to go to the user folder and through the directories AppData, Local, Google, Chrome and User Data to get to the Default directory, in which the Extension Rules, Extension State and Extensions folders are deleted.
Browser Actions
In the most extreme case, so to speak, for the sake of fidelity, you can delete the browser itself, and then reinstall it. However, here you need to pay attention to one caveat.
After a standard uninstall, a search is made for all folders named Google, after which they are all deleted. In order not to deal with manual deletion, you can initially use powerful uninstaller programs like iObit Uninstaller, which, when you scan the residual elements in-depth, will inflate all the garbage and delete it (it is advisable to use the file destruction function when deleting).
Startup check
Finally, after all the steps taken, it is recommended to check the startup section for the presence of the above extension or something similar.
On Windows operating systems below the tenth, you can access this section through the msconfig command, which is entered in the Run console. In Windows 10, you can immediately use the "Task Manager" (when accessing through the main command, a redirect will still be made).
As an additional tool, you can use the services section (services.msc), in which you need to disable autorun of all suspicious processes, including even Mail.Ru services, which are at a high degree of risk of infection with the above virus.
