As for the design, today it is fashionable to move away from simple angular surfaces, rounded furniture is increasingly valued. Such furniture, thanks to its smooth lines, smooths corners and protrusions, it becomes safer for children who like to bump and run. The most fashionable version of a wardrobe - a radiused wardrobe - can be curved, concave or round.
A good wardrobe sometimes replaces an entire wardrobe room. Its internal filling is a real find for people who understand in convenience and grace. This and a lot of all kinds of hangers, drawers, hooks, pull-out shelves, and a rod with fluorescent lighting, hangers for ties, a stand for an iron, a storage for accessories.
As for the assembly of such models, please note that manufacturers extend the product warranty only if they are assembled by the company's specialists, therefore it is recommended to buy a radius cabinet with the assembly. Unlike radius ones, it is quite possible to assemble a sliding wardrobe of a classic model yourself.
How is the closet assembled in a small one-room apartment - I want to share my experience.
The main condition: will pass quickly and without alterations, if you follow the order of door installation (after the cabinet body is already assembled).
In what sequence is the door installed?
Step-by-step instruction:
1. First, the upper rail for the door rollers is screwed to the cabinet cover flush with the front of the cabinet side rack.
2. At the bottom of the cabinet, the lower rail is placed without screwing.
3. The door is first inserted into the upper rail, with the door tilted slightly. Then to the bottom, at the same time you need to pre-press the wheels with your fingers on the lower edge of the door. The wheels are fixed on the spring, so it is easy to give.
4. We achieve the verticality of the door - if you look at the cabinet from the side, it should be vertically even. We fasten the lower rail along the edges, once again check the installation, rolling the door from place to place, if necessary, adjust and fix the rail finally. If the mounting holes are not available, you can drill new ones, but you can mark with a pencil the position of the bottom rail, remove the door, fix the rail, put the door in place.
5. Install the second door and adjust the position of all doors.
Before assembling the cabinet, if you have parquet or laminate flooring, place some soft material under the cabinet for sliding, like felt, so that when moving the cabinet to the wall, do not scratch the floor.
Naturally, in small apartments due to lack of free space on the floor, the cabinet frame must be assembled while standing.
In what sequence occurs in a standing position?
• First we fix the side walls. Helper support is desired. A cabinet can be assembled by one person, but together it will be much faster.
• Securing the roof.
• Next is the back wall, which consists of individual fiberboard sheets. We fix the right and left sheet. The cabinet should be rectangular. The rectangles of the cabinet are checked by substituting a shelf in the corner, all the corners of the shelves are straight.
• Then the partitions are installed, and the back wall is finally fixed. Corners need to be fastened to racks and partitions in advance, when they are still in a lying position.
• The cabinet moves to the wall and, preferably, is attached to it by a corner. If the cabinet is with a rear wall, then it is not necessary to fix it to the wall.
• The final stage is the installation of doors and internal filling. Shelves are marked on one side, the second is fixed by setting the level on the shelf (corners must be screwed to the shelves in advance).
If the cabinet has special adjustable legs, then the kit should have a podium, which is set according to the level, and then racks, shelves and everything else are attached to it.
If your apartment does not have right angles between the floor and the wall, then with a small gap you can leave everything as it is. If the difference is large, then the wall needs to be straightened (during repair). A simpler leveling option is to mow the podium to the desired angle.
