How to burn ISO from image to media?

Progress in the field of computer technology and methods of transferring information between computers is moving so rapidly that what looked like science fiction yesterday becomes reality today. For example, everyone knows that one of the most common storage media is CDs. Most programs (operating systems, games, editors) are replicated on laser disks, at least for now. However, with the advent of high-speed Internet and capacious hard drives, it became possible to distribute not the disks themselves, but their images. Any such image is usually a single file containing a copy of the data of the original physical CD. Recently ISO images have been very popular.

It is enough to download such a file, figure out how to burn the ISO to a real disk and install the program. This is true for operating systems. If you just need to run the program from the image, then you don’t even have to learn how to write the ISO, but immediately connect the file to the Daemon Tools virtual drive or a similar software solution. Let us dwell on the recording problem in more detail.

In general, the answer to the question “how to write an ISO” is quite simple. There are a huge number of programs that can work with such images. Here are just a few of them: Easy Burn ISO, Free Create Burn ISO, ImgBurn, Power ISO, Ultra ISO, Xilisoft ISO Burner. Some of them are paid, while others are free or shareware. Nevertheless, one of the most famous and, to give its creators their due, convenient, is Ultra ISO. It not only allows you to write ISO files, but also makes it possible to independently create an ISO disk image (Self-loading and Tools - Create image). Most users work with it. The disadvantage is that the program is paid, costs about $ 30 and cannot create images larger than 300 MB. A test period of use (30 days) is provided. But in the realities of Runet this is not a problem. So, if the question “how to record an ISO” arises, then you need to download the mentioned application and learn how to work with it.

It is recommended to download the latest version, as it can be eliminated discovered deficiencies and added new features. Run the program. In the “File” menu, select “Open” (or press Ctrl + O) and point to the desired ISO image file. In the upper left window the internal location of the file directories will be displayed, and in the right - its full structure. Important: operating system images must be bootable! This is easy to verify: just above the left window should be the inscription "Bootable UDF" (Downloadable). Then everything is simple: press F7, specify the desired drive (if there are several) and set the recording speed. For important data, it is recommended to record to 4x, while for the home collection, it is optimal to 8x. In any case, it is possible to exceed the 10x mark only if no special requirements are imposed on data safety. We leave the default method - DAO (higher compatibility, but it is impossible subsequently to add something to the free space of the disk).

The ISO image on the USB flash drive is written a little differently. Recently, there are many ISO assemblies from enthusiasts, distributed with various accompanying files. They allow you to write the image to a USB flash drive by simple manipulations. But if there are no such auxiliary programs, then it is quite possible to “dump” the data onto the media independently. To do this, open the ISO image. We connect the USB flash drive to the computer. We follow the menu "Self-loading" and we select record of an image of a hard disk (USB-HDD +). Please note that the flash drive will be formatted and the data on it before recording will be lost. Installing operating system distributions on a USB flash drive is becoming more popular every day, so every user needs to understand the way to record using Ultra ISO.
