The 32S, namely the 320th Airbus, was born a long time ago and is still considered an extremely successful and popular model. The development of the aircraft began back in 1981. The European consortium decided on the urgent need to create a mid-range aircraft that could successfully compete with the products of other aircraft manufacturing companies, and in particular with Boeing.
Designing a small side did not make sense, because at that time airlines preferred roomy aircraft. That is why in the original version the aircraft should be designed for 150 seats, however, modifications appeared for 160 and 170 seats. There was also the opportunity to make a business jet out of an airplane, greatly reducing the number of seats and relying on noise insulation and luxury.
