Serious passion for theater

In the sixth grade, the boy was seriously interested in theater and began to play in the productions of the local Theater of Young Spectators, where his older sister took him. Around the same time, Vadim seriously engaged in sports: he played soccer, hockey, showed good results in boxing. However, a sports career had to be abandoned due to health problems.

The first performance, which was called "A piece of bread," Vadim Kolganov staged, being a tenth grader. Upon graduation, the young man becomes a student at the Orenburg School of Culture. After graduating from the Theater Director department with honors, the future actor served two years in the armed forces in Khabarovsk and Kamchatka.

Work on the stage

Immediately after the army, Vadim Kolganov got a job at the Orenburg Center for Children and Youth Creativity and at the same time took lessons at a music school. True, not having finished the last year, the future actor decided to move to Moscow. In the capital, Vadim managed to enter the acting and directing faculty of VGIK for the course of Rayhelgauz and Khutsiev. Already in the first year the teachers noted the talent of Kolganov. Soon he played in the "School of modern play" - the Reichelhaus Theater.

In 1998, the young artist successfully graduated from VGIK and was accepted into the troupe of the Stanislavsky Drama Theater, where for five years he received roles in the plays The Taming of the Shrew, Twelfth Night, Testament in Italian, and Masquerade. But then Kolganov decided to return to Reichelgauz, who still works for him.

Vadim Kolganov played his first small film role in the series "Truckers", which was released in 2001. The following year, he was invited to one of the main roles in the multi-part film “Free Woman”. In the next four years there were several more series with his participation. In 2005, viewers saw Kolganov in the film "Bastards", in 2006 - in the film "Wolfhound." But wide popularity came to Vadim after filming in the successful series “Tatyana’s Day”, in which he played the role of Viktor Rybkin. The title of Honored Artist of Russia was awarded to the actor in 2007. His creative career did not stop there, but continues to gain momentum. Kolganov’s participation in several television projects (“Big Races”, “King of the Ring” and “Ice Age”) only added fame to the actor.

Personal life

At first, the young actor was not given any roles in the films, he often had to appear in commercials. One of the commercials with his participation was shot in Sochi. Returning from filming, thirty-year-old Vadim Kolganov met his future wife - Ekaterina Goltyapina. There was an amazing misunderstanding - young people were sold train tickets to the same place. During the conversation, it turned out that they were working in the same theater, but had never seen each other. Vadim considered this a “sign from heaven” and, having arrived in Moscow, the next day called the girl.

Soon Katya moved to live in the room allocated to the Kolganov Theater. Young every day more and more fell in love with each other, until one day in the morning Vadim got the idea to make a girl an offer. On the same day, they applied to the local registry office and a month later they played a modest wedding in a bowling center, borrowing the necessary amount of money from a friend. Only then did the theater learn about their relationship.

The wife of Vadim Kolganov from the first days of his life insisted on changing the image of her husband, because she believed that it was the excessive brutality present in his appearance that prevented him from acting more actively in films. Indeed, due to the fact that Vadim said goodbye to his long hair, leather pants and a raincoat-mackintosh (such an image of the actor can be seen in the TV series "Truckers"), he began to be invited more often to filming.

The young husband quickly found a common language with Katya's parents and gladly goes to visit them in Oryol. Both the father-in-law and the mother-in-law (both actors) relate well to their son-in-law, having found a person close to him in spirit. A tradition has appeared in the family - to celebrate each New Year in Orel, gathered together at the festive table, and enjoy the conversation in an amazing creative atmosphere reigning in the house.

Vadim Kolganov wife children
