Years are young
A native Kiev resident in childhood showed himself as a very gifted child, knowing at the age of five by heart knowing all the countries of the planet and their main cities. He graduated from school at the age of 15, passing all exams externally.
In his youth, he was very interested in the history of revolutions, read a lot, wrote several dozen letters to Soviet celebrities with a request to send an autograph and photo. Only Leonid Utesov and Joseph Kobzon answered the boy. Next was studying at the Kiev Civil Engineering Institute, the army after the third year; Dmitry served two years in the missile forces near Leningrad, leaving the sergeant.

He began publishing from the second course of KISI; his articles were published in newspapers such as Molod Ukrainy, Vecherny Kiev, Moloda Gvardiya, Sportivnaya Gazeta, and Komsomolsk Banner. His first interview, published in the Lugansk edition of Molodogvardeets, was taken by all the boys Leonid Buryak, the Dynamo Kyiv midfielder, from the idol. In the Kiev press (the Komsomolskoye Znamya newspaper), the first interview was published with Igor Belanov, the Soviet striker. In later years, with the acquisition of experience and significance, Dmitry could take five interviews a day. The longest, 5-hour conversation was recorded with Viktor Suvorov, a famous writer and Soviet intelligence officer. The most memorable for Gordon was the conversation with the cartoonist Boris Efimov, who had crossed the 107-year age limit at that time. Vyacheslav Tikhonov and Nonna Mordyukova gave their latest interviews to Dmitry. The author dreamed of interviewing Marina Vlady and Svetlana Alliluyeva.
The only graduate of the higher education institution was assigned to work for the editorial board of the newspaper “Evening Kiev”, which requested the rector of the institute. Gordon worked there until 1992, after which he moved to the Kiev Vedomosti, and then to the All-Ukrainian Vedomosti.
"Gordon Boulevard" - secular chronicles newspaper
Weekly, he began publishing his own newspaper, Boulevard, from June 1995. The publication quickly gained popularity and comes out in large numbers. The newspaper is distributed not only in Ukraine, but also in Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Israel. The Gordon Boulevard, renamed in 2005, tells in an interesting and dynamic form about the most prominent politicians, scientists, musicians, and athletes. The newspaper has virtually no age restrictions, which leads to a wide readership.
In 1999, Gordon created on television his own program, “Visiting Dmitry Gordon,” where he is also the presenter. The format of the program is conversations with famous and prominent contemporaries, among which are artists, writers, musicians, directors, actors. Gordon visited more than 600 celebrities.
Gordon: diverse and charismatic
As a performer, he recorded about 80 songs and shot several clips; the most striking was the video clip recorded in a duet with Natalya Buchinskaya for the song “First Love”. Dmitry Gordon is the author of 46 books. Among the most interesting is the book “Restless Memory”, which is a collection of 12 interesting interviews with people whose names are inscribed in history. These are Vladimir Pozner, Sergey Bezrukov, Bella Akhmadulina and others. Fascinating and frank conversations with Andrei Makarevich, Konstantin Raikin, Mikhail Gorbachev, Vitali Klitschko, telling about the defeats and achievements of these people, are published in the book “Between Past and Future”. In the 8-volume book “Heroes of the Time of Troubles”, over which Gordon worked for more than one year, there is a description of the fate of significant personalities, including Alexander Abdulov, Mikhail Zhvanetsky, Olga Aroseva, Rolan Bykov, Yuri Bogatikov, Anatoly Kashpirovsky. Conversations with him are collected in a separate volume.
In the process, Dmitry Gordon made friends with many of the heroes of his programs. He maintains cordial relations with Jan Tabachnik,
Vyacheslav Malezhik, Vakhtang Kikabidze, Roman Viktyuk, Oleg Bazilevich.
Dmitry Gordon is a diverse personality and even managed to light up in the cinema, starring in a cameo in the film work “Dau” dedicated to the Soviet physicist Lev Landau.
Dmitry is married to Batman Ales, editor-in-chief of the online publication Gordon, who previously worked as an editor of the Schuster program. Dmitry is a wealthy father raising five children and a passionate fan of Dynamo Kyiv.
