History

The history of the theater began even earlier - in 1922, at that moment a small group of nine actors was directed by the writer and director S. I. Prokofiev. There was no own premises at that time. But already in 1924 the theater building in the Hermitage Garden was transferred to the disposal of the theater, in which it was located before the Great Patriotic War. Subsequently, the Vedeno Peopleโ€™s House was allocated and rebuilt for the theater. All the main performances were held here from 1947 to 1959. From that moment to the present day, the Mossovet Theater has been located on the territory of the Aquarium Garden. In 1959, on December 5, the first performance of the Mossovet Theater in the new building took place.

Inside the theater building is a spacious hall consisting of three tiers. A foyer with a winter garden and a museum exposition has also been created. On the territory of the theater there is a buffet and places for relaxation, a children's playroom and an open summer veranda. Recently, the theater built a stage "under the roof", partly to stir up and shock the modern audience.
