Adjustment of PTO MTZ-80 is carried out not only in specialized workshops, but also with their own hands. This makes the process much cheaper, especially if you have the appropriate skills and understand the features of the technical equipment of the unit. Consider the features of this procedure.

First stage

MTZ-80 adjustment is carried out in the following sequence (here the figures indicated correspond to the numbers indicated on the drawing).

Stages of work:

  • The eccentric axis is set to its original position so that the flat β€œB” is located in a vertical position on the right side. It must be fixed with a stopper 17 and a bolt 16.
  • Then disconnect the rod 4.
  • Unscrew the bolt 9, releasing the spring 6. For safety reasons, when turning the bolt 9 out, make sure that the cup 7 is constantly in contact with the seat until the spring is fully unclenched.
  • Remove the manhole cover on the rear axle, gaining access to the screws 13.
  • Fix the lever 11 in the neutral position with the bolt M10 * 60 or the rod 10, with a diameter of 8 mm. It is inserted into the socket on the lever and the corresponding hole in the rear housing.

Next, the operation is carried out as follows:

  • The locking plate 26 is removed, the screws 21 are screwed with a force of 10 kgf, after which each element is unscrewed a couple of revolutions.
  • The bolt rod 10 is removed, releasing the lever 11 in the initial position for correction.
  • The bolt 9 must be tightened by directing its bow into the recessed portion of the glass 7 to a dimension β€œA” of 26 mm.
  • Move lever 11 to the β€œOn” position.
  • Link 4 is set by adjusting with analog 15 until the swing zone of lever 1 coincides in the middle part of the slot of the control panel.
  • At the end of the work, put in place the stopper 26, the manhole cover, lock the rods 4 and 15 together with the bolt 9.

Additionally, when adjusting the PTO MTZ-80 with your own hands, you may need to adjust the tape brakes. If:

  • PTO slippage is observed.
  • When switching, the control lever 1 abuts against the front or back of the slot in the control panel.
  • The force on element 1 exceeds 15 kgf.
  • There is a fuzzy fixation of the lever 1 in extreme positions or when turning on and off.

This operation of the adjustment part of the PTO MTZ-80 is performed by an external adjustment method, namely:

  1. Set the lever 11 in a neutral position, fix it in this position, by entering the rod 10 into the holes provided.
  2. The bolt 16 is unscrewed, the plate 17 is removed from the spline tail on the axis 15.
  3. Using a special key, turn the eccentric 15 clockwise to a suitable gap between the brake band and the working drum (you can check the position manually, if the shank does not turn, then the desired position has been selected).
  4. The plate and bolt are installed in place.
  5. The clamps are removed from the lever.
  6. The adjustment of VOM MTZ-80 tapes can be considered completed.

What to look for?

After making external adjustments several times, the axis 15 can take the leftmost position. This indicates the exhaustion of the stock of external adjustments. To normalize the situation, the eccentric is turned counterclockwise to its original position. Then adjust the PTO MTZ-80 by the method described above.

If all manipulations are performed correctly, lever 1 in the β€œOn” position and off should not reach the edge of the slot of the console less than 30 millimeters, while the transition to neutral should be clear.

On some modifications of tractors, VOM MTZ-80 adjustment is carried out without an external adjustment mechanism, due to its absence. In this case, the operation in question is performed in the same manner as described above, only after repair or assembly at the factory. On models with a small cabin, the B index is 50-60 millimeters.

The effectiveness of the brake system and the lack of slipping depends solely on the spring fixture. This is especially true of the availability of free work sites and leverage aggregating with them. Slipping the PTO indicates that the springs or levers meet additional resistance when they move without sufficient lubrication in the mechanisms.

During operation, it is necessary to carefully monitor the change in the position of the power take-off shaft lever, not allowing the element to rest on the cab floor, otherwise slippage may occur in emergency mode. Additional symptoms of the need for adjustments are considered to be an increased control lever travel and increasing pressure when the β€œOn” position is activated and β€œOff.” and vice versa.

Adjustment of the PTO MTZ-80 is performed in the following sequence:

  • Combine the holes on the threaded hole of the housing and the analog on the lever, after which it must be fixed with a rod.
  • Remove the cover, tighten the adjusting screws (force - 8-10 N / m), then loosen them by 2-3 turns.
  • Control the ease of rotation of the serviced node by rotating the splined shank by hand.
  • Connect the rod with the lever with a finger of a cylindrical shape, well cotter pin.
  • Install the glass assembly with a spring in the recess of the tank until a slight rotation of the locking bolt is observed. The compression force of the spring with a glass is at least 200 kgf.
  • The assembly is fixed in a compressed state by means of a bolt, which is screwed into the nut welded to the cover.
  • The screw is turned out until the free movement of the cup of the spring mechanism in relation to its cover.
  • Securely fix the bolt in the lever by means of a lock nut.
  • Traction is adjusted so that the distance from the lever to the lower edge of the cab is 50 millimeters in the on mode.

Repairs

In any case, the MTZ-80 tractor for adjusting the PTO is put up for repair if there are cracks or dents in the eye, glass or roller. Fix the problem as follows:

  • Combine the nests of the shift roller and the rear axle using the control lever. After matching the holes, they are fixed by means of the installation bolt.
  • The lock nut loosens, and the stop screw is screwed into the lever of the shift roller to the limit.
  • The locking bolt is screwed into the glass, after which the adjusting analog is carefully removed.
  • After that, a glass with springs is dismantled, then it is disassembled and unfit parts are changed.

Other malfunctions

  1. Cam clutch problems. With this malfunction, the cab is dismantled, the gear unit is disconnected from the rear axle. Then the element is replaced, since its repair does not make any sense.
  2. When do you disconnect the PTO MTZ-80? Rattle - adjustment in this case is performed with the simultaneous replacement of the ground teeth of the central gear or spline joints. To do this, first remove the power take-off shaft by pressing out, after which the state of the element is evaluated. If there are malfunctions in the form of increased gaps or loosening, the parts are sent for repair.
  3. What to do if the PTO shaft moves freely? This indicates a loose fixing nut. It is necessary to completely dismantle the assembly, then restore the thread and tighten the nut all the way. If this is not possible, disassemble the entire structure with a laborious repair.
