On March 10, 1976, the famous artist Mikhail Grebenshchikov was born in Voronezh. The biography of our hero from childhood shows us the makings of an artist and the first steps along a difficult path into the world of show business. Misha left a vivid recollection from the kindergarten, where he screamed them out of place while learning songs to make it funnier. When guests came to their parents, little Misha showed them a gypsy with an exit. Our hero was fond of football, was amorous. He showed leadership abilities since childhood, when he was the ringleader in children's games and fun. Hoping to find ammunition left over from the war, he rummaged through all the Voronezh forests.
From the age of nine, Mikhail Grebenshchikov participated with his neighbor Andrei Shumsky in the informal Heavy Metal movements. Teenagers made plans to conquer show business. Michael managed to write poetry, play the guitar.
Creative way
After school, our hero entered the Voronezh assembly college, and soon, in 1991, went to the school of modern pop dance. He liked this occupation very much, and he enthusiastically immersed himself in training. A year later, Mikhail created the pop musical group “Creazy of dance” and first tried himself as a DJ in the House of Culture on the 50th anniversary of October in the city of Voronezh. The team was invited to various entertaining and official events as exotic actors. A year later, members of the Grebenshchikov group teamed up with Mikhail Sergeyev, a Voronezh DJ. The name of the new boy band project is “DJ MMM”.
Soon, tours began around the country. The DJ MMM team performed on the same stage with the Bachelor Party, Gaza Strip and with performers Bogdan Titomir, Jimmy G, Mr. Boss and others.
Shooting of clips, recording of new compositions began. They began to recognize the group, fans appeared.
In 1994, our hero was drafted into the army, where he served two years.
In 1996, Grebenshchikov was offered to become a host on the "Russian Radio-Voronezh" program "Dance Floor", where he worked for about five years.
In 2000, DJ MMM executives signed a contract with Moscow producers Seleverstov and Velichkovsky. The group was renamed “Basic Instinct”. Their first album was later recorded, the band took part in "Song of the Year", MTV. Young people toured with the Strelka and Virus groups.
For unknown reasons, the contract with the producers was broken off after a year, but the team itself continued to exist.
In 2001, Mikhail Grebenshchikov became an art director at the One Hundred Streams nightclub, but in 2002 left his job to participate in Star Factory-1 on Channel One.
Participation in the "Factory of stars"
Mikhail got to the "Factory" thanks to a cassette with cuts of his performances, which was watched by I. Matvienko. For a week, Matvienko was looking for a talented artist in Voronezh to invite to the casting of "Star Factory" to Moscow. Despite the lack of vocal data, Michael made a big impression on the jury and
was cast due to his creativity, mobility. He won the hearts of many people in the manner of his presentation.
On the first day, Michael managed to excel. I received a watch from Oleg Gazmanov as a gift, which slightly surprised his competitors. In the Internet voting of the “Star Factory”, our hero took second place.
On the project, the manufacturers were taught vocal, choreography, artistry and other tricks of show business.
Grebenshchikov’s participation in the TV show “Star Factory” led him to the finals, where he took third place. This can be considered one of his achievements on a bumpy path.
