History
The city of Krasnodar has long been waiting for something new and not quite ordinary. The youth theater, created in the early 90s, met all expectations. His career immediately began with a multi-genre repertoire and original performances, in the production of which very extraordinary directors from the capital and other big cities often take part.
In the first years of their existence, the artists did not have their own premises and were constantly forced to rent various venues. In 1994, the city of Krasnodar glorified the troupe at the regional competition. Youth Theater received a prize. After that, the city authorities gave the artists a room in the center, where the cinema used to be.
The unusualness of the theater is manifested in everything. Even the chairs are special. They are collapsible, and for each performance the auditorium is arranged appropriately. The audience has a unique opportunity at each performance to feel involved in the action and see the experiences of the actors at arm's length.
The director of the theater since its founding was director Vladimir Rogulchenko. He previously worked in provincial, metropolitan and even foreign troupes as an actor and director. From the very first performance, Vladimir clearly declared himself. The theater immediately gained immense popularity.
One of the audience’s favorite productions is L. Bernstein’s musical West Side Story. She allowed the actors to reveal new facets of talent. Since during the year they seriously mastered dance and vocal skills. The theater’s repertoire is based on classical works. Often, along with the actors, the students of the Krasnodar University of Culture, studying acting, take part in the productions. "Dangerous ties"
The performance based on the play of K. Hampton was finally seen by Krasnodar. The youth theater this season presented its viewers this famous production.
