MBUK "Tambov Youth Theater" - one of the youngest in our country. It was opened less than 10 years ago. But over this short period, the theater became popular in its city.
About the theater
The city of Tambov celebrated the birth of a youth theater in 2009. It was then that he was created. The initiative for its opening belongs to the city committee on culture.
The troupe was recruited from graduates of the Tambov State University of the Department of Performing Arts. In total, 25 actors are currently serving in the theater.
Artists are regular participants in various events and festivals of both city and regional scales.
Tambovsky the youth theater not only shows performances, it organizes a number of interesting projects and festivals.

Projects
The Tambov Youth Theater is the organizer of several interesting projects.
Among them is the theatrical and poetic performance "Brodsky. Curtain". As part of the project, poetry evenings are held, where artists read the verses of this ingenious poet, whom someone loves and even hates.
The next project is called "Cinema. Theater. History of Russian Cinema". Within its framework, artistic and educational evenings are held. Artists tell the viewer about how cinema originated in Russia in the early 20th century. As the shooting took place at that time. And also on screen are shots from films included in the golden collection of domestic cinema.
Project "Cinema. Theater. Kuleshov Effect." It is also an artistic and educational evening. Its presenters will tell about the life of Lev Kuleshov, who was born in Tambov and became famous for creating VGIK, was a director and theorist of cinema.
The project "Our Vysotsky". These are musical and literary evenings dedicated to the work of Vladimir Semenovich. Artists show the viewer all the events of V. Vysotsky’s life in such a way as to give them the opportunity to look at everything with his eyes.
"Reading Chekhov." Another very interesting project is called there. It includes literary evenings. Here, the artists talk about the fate of this talented and multifaceted person, about how they imagine him, reading his works. Also from the stage during the evening several stories of A.P. Chekhov are heard.

"Vivat Theater"!
Since 2008, the Tambov Youth Theater has been hosting the festival. It is called "Vivat Theater!". The aim of the festival is to develop theatrical creativity of youth and to support talented, promising young artists.
Judges the festival participants by a professional jury. As well as children and students who became winners of creative contests.
Participants from different cities of our vast Motherland come to the festival in the city of Tambov: Moscow, Samara, Elista, Orel, Penza, Skopin, Vologda, Michurinsk and others.
In 2016, the festival was held in November. Over the past few days, viewers saw 16 wonderful performances performed by different groups.
The performances that are shown at the festival were shown as based on the classical works of such playwrights as P. Beaumarchais, G. Andersen, A.S. Pushkin, and on the plays of modern writers. There were no restrictions in this regard for the participants.
Every year, professional theater troupes, amateur student studios, children's theaters, and students of theater colleges and universities come to the festival to perform.
Winners were awarded at the ceremony. Now the theater is already starting preparations for the new festival, already in 2017, and hopes that it will take place and there will be, as always, a lot of participants.
The festival is supported by the administration of the city of Tambov, as well as the Committee on Culture.
Reviews
Spectators leave extremely positive reviews about the theater. They argue that the productions are interesting here, and the artists are wonderful, professional, talented, put their soul into their work.
Many residents have already become regular spectators, loyal fans of TMT. They go to the theater with their families, with parents, children, spouses, friends, and bring their guests here who come from other cities.
It pleases the viewer that there are no bad plays in the repertoire. All performances are based on works that have a deep meaning, good humor, without vulgarity, anger, aggression. There is something to ponder, laugh, cry. Very well the theater puts on children's tales. Even restless babies watch them with their mouth open with delight and without moving. Tales here are very kind, instructive.
For young spectators, before the start of the performances and during the intermission, wonderful animators work who entertain the children, play with them, dance, amuse and entertain. Some parents, in order to accustom the kids to the theater, at first lead them only to play, and then to performances.
The public considers the theater to be very promising.
