Prior to this, V. Bylkov served as the main director in Vladikavkaz. He took part in the festival among puppeteers, held in Volgograd, where he was noticed by the then director of the Rostov puppet theater. Vladimir Sergeyevich so impressed him with his talent that he was invited to Rostov first for one production, and when he arrived, he was persuaded to stay for good.
V. Bylkov was a student of Sergei Obraztsov himself. The first productions of Vladimir Sergeyevich in Rostov became a real sensation. In total, V. Bylkov staged over 150 performances in this puppet theater over the years of his service. In them, he had an adult conversation with children about the soul, ideals, values. All the performances of Vladimir Sergeyevich were moral and represented the lessons of good. Andrei Vladimirovich is endowed with original thinking and vivid imagination. He with great delicacy approaches any content, tries to catch what the author has put into it, and convey it to the viewer.

Andrey Vladimirovich took the post of chief director in 2003. In the work on the performances, his natural organizational abilities, skill, and hard work help him. He will devote a huge amount of time to educating his creative team. Andrey Bylkov is an amazingly able-bodied person.
Since 1999, the director has been teaching stage speech, the history of puppet theater and the skill of a puppeteer.

In 2004, Andrei Viktorovich was appointed to the post of artistic director of the theater.
