Not every city is as lucky as Murom. He stands on the banks of the Oka, and its inhabitants can, without going anywhere, swim, relax by the water, and most importantly - go fishing! What many of them enjoy and enjoy.
Fishing in Murom on the Oka: description
The Oka River carries its waters along the Murom River for about 20 km - from south to north. Not everywhere you can rely on the catch, but some places - even nothing. Fishing in Murom is especially good, according to locals, near bridges, in particular, next to the floating bridge, from which the road to Gorky starts. The bridge usually appears in late spring and remains until the first frost. It’s these six months that become the “golden” time for fishermen.
More often and better than others here comes across a roach hook. But fishing in Murom on this bridge can be gratifying both with a breeding ground, a scavenger and even an ide (the latter, however, is very rare here today!).
“On horseback” are happy boat owners. They overlook the Oka River, as a rule, in two places - near the pier, on the right bank; and on the left - in the area of the pasta factory. In suitable weather and good bait, you can count on 5-6 kg of roach and ide.
Good fishing in Murom happens at night, when hunting for burbot goes well. If the day is short but sunny, you can start at 8 in the evening, and turn off fishing rods by five in the morning. In September and closer to the first frosts, a large dace is also often caught on a hook.
Fishing in Murom on Staritsa
The old riverbed of the Oka is called the old woman, and within the city limits this is another “trump card” place for fishing. Compared to Oka, it is even more advantageous, because there are no ships sailing along Staritsa, the course is calmer here, and fewer poachers (and, in general, people). And nature is more picturesque. So, for example, on the island that separates the old channel from the new, there is a wonderful pine forest.
Fishermen who came to Staritsa in spring or autumn have a good chance of catching pike and perch. And in the summer and in the winter cold, roach, bream and ide are good at pecking. In winter, even pike perch can be obtained as a trophy.
They get to the "cool" places of Staritsa usually by train (you need to get out at Prioksky junction for about 20 minutes). In the winter months, when there is ice, many come here on foot right along the Oka.
Fishing in Murom region
But a city is a city. And the water is more polluted, and there are more competitors ... Therefore, many avid fishermen try to find more fertile and secluded places. And there are more than enough of them on the territory of the Murom region!
This, for example, a section of Vojutino-Okshevo-Dmitriyevy Gory, located fifty kilometers from Murom. A beautiful and beloved place for fishing enthusiasts.
Or the Doshatoye marina, located 30 km from the city, if you go upstream. Here, in the waters of the Oka River, large roach lives, reaching 800 g.
Just five kilometers from the float is Dmitrievskaya Sloboda. An excellent, from the point of view of fishing, stretches from it to the river Bolshaya Kutra.
It is difficult to list all the attractive places, which are especially numerous on the right bank of the Oka. But the fact that fishing in Murom and the region is a popular activity is a fact. Locals fish from the shore, and from boats, in winter and summer, alone, and with entire families. Combining business with pleasure: relaxing in the lap of nature with the murmur of water and fresh fish for lunch ... Is there anything better?
