In Bulgaria there are six operating civil airports. True, for most tourists four are of interest. Two of them are located in the central part of the country, and the rest in its coastal areas.

Air harbors in the central part of Bulgaria: educational and ski tourism
Of course, the capital of the modern state is poorly presented without a large number of travelers arriving in all possible ways: by train, bus and, of course, by plane. It is logical that the title of the largest airport in Bulgaria belongs to that located in Sofia, more precisely, five kilometers from it.

And finally, another airport, which also attracts a considerable number of tourists, however, in the wintertime it is Plovdiv. It is from here that you can get to the ski resorts in Bulgaria, such as Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo. This air harbor takes an honorable second place after the Sofia one. By the way, Plovdiv itself is a city with a population second only to the capital.
The remaining two international airports are Gorno-Oryahovitsa and Kalvacha. The first is noteworthy because it is located at approximately equal distance from Sofia, Varna, Burgas and Plovdiv, as well as in the immediate vicinity of the old Bulgarian capital - Veliko Tarnovo.
