The reasons for the fact that the gap between the words in the text typed in the Word may be heterogeneous, there are many factors. In order to eliminate this phenomenon, it is necessary to have some knowledge in office programs, and just be careful to find the source of the problem. Inattention while typing is the first reason for large distances between words
The first, most obvious and simple reason may be an elementary press of the space bar once again. Own inattention played a bad joke with you. In order to clearly show where there is one space, and where there are several, click the character highlighted in the bottom picture, after which all invisible characters will be visible in the text - spaces, hyphens, indents, tabs. The same function is called using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + *.

But there is also a justification that spreads the text so that it is evenly distributed from the left to the right edge, not counting the lines ending the paragraph. We see that the text aligned on one side, on the other hand, is uneven, scattered. But, having chosen the alignment in width, the program fills with the same number of characters as it was with the previous formatting, for the entire line. It turns out that due to the expansion of spaces, the line is filled. Therefore, in order to understand how to remove large gaps in Word in this case, and to do this, you need to select a paragraph, spaces in which you are not satisfied, and set it to align on the left side.

Also, alignment in width complete with pictures or formulas can become the reason why the Word has a large gap. If there is work in which you need to directly add text in the form of a picture (a florid formula, just a line from a pdf file) or a formula (about a formula, by the way, the question is relevant only to Microsoft Word 2003; in later versions there is a new an editor that does not cause such a problem, figure below), it may happen that the inserted fragment does not fit on the line, and therefore moves on to the next.
In this case, the text that remained on the previous line will be stretched, filling in a line. How to remove large gaps in the Word in this case? If possible, and the text allows, make the transition to a new line using the "Enter" key. The paragraph will end, the text on the deadline will take an adequate location, and the selected fragment (if it is a formula) can be centered.
In the case of a fragment in the form of a picture, you can try to reduce it to a size that will allow you to read the text indicated on it, or divide the fragment into two parts.

How to remove large gaps in the “Word” using this trick? Follow these steps:
1. By right-clicking on the picture, copy the fragment and paste the similar one using the "paste" function. The same can be done using the key combination Ctrl + C (copy) and Ctrl + V (paste).
2. Crop the first picture on the right side and the second on the left. At the same time, make sure that the cropped text in the first picture is supplemented by the text from the second.
Do this with the trim function. In versions of "Word" older than the seventh, when you click on the picture, the "work with drawing" menu appears.
By clicking on the "Crop" symbol, select the first image and crop it to the desired length, and then the second, removing from it what is already on the first.
