Fishing is a vacation. And fishing in Aktobe is also a pleasure.
A bit about fishing in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan is a state located on the border of Europe and Asia. Fishing here is very popular, fishing is possible everywhere, except for private ponds and reserves, where there are some restrictions, and where fishing may be paid.
You can catch in the water bodies of the republic both the usual zander, bream and pike, as well as many other fish unfamiliar to Russians, such as the Caspian lamprey, spike, taimen, etc. Fishing is carried out on a spinning rod. Lures and other artificial lures are used. On the shores of reservoirs, especially large ones, there are many fishing bases where lovers of both summer and winter fishing come together.
In the West of Kazakhstan, exactly where the Kargala and Ilek rivers meet, the city โโof Aktobe (in Kazakh, White Hill) is located. Here, for the third year in a row, Fisherman's Day is celebrated and a fishing championship is held, which attracts many lovers of spearfishing and fishing. In Aktobe and its environs there are three artificial reservoirs:
- Aktobe.
- Sazdinskoe.
- Kargaly.
Sazdinskoye reservoir is located along the channel of the Sazdy River and is located 8 km from Aktobe. It was launched in 1967 and is the oldest of all. Over the past few years, due to the dry weather, this pond has become smaller, local residents have already begun to sound the alarm. This reservoir is not of particular interest to fishermen, therefore, we will dwell in more detail on the other two: Aktobe and Kargalinsky.
Aktobe reservoir
Aktobe is a large reservoir located along the channel of the Ilek River. It was created in 1988. The reservoir is perfect for outdoor recreation, the tourist infrastructure is well developed here. Most visitors are, of course, fishing enthusiasts. At their services on the coast are fishing bases, rental housing, parking for cars, and you can also stay in tents. The shores on the Aktobe reservoir are clean, the water is clear - all this contributes to a good rest.
Fries of various species of fish are constantly released into the reservoir. Currently, river perch, common carp, bream, ide, roach, ripus, crucian carp, carp, bleak, cheese, grass carp, silver carp and others live in the Aktyubinsk reservoir.
Kargaly reservoir
60 km from Aktobe, along the channel of the Kargaly river, the Kargaly reservoir was created. It is located in a depression between the mountains, in contrast to Aktobe, which is located on a plain. The average depth of the Kargaly reservoir is about 10 meters, but there are places where the depth reaches 30 meters.
A reservoir was created in 1975 to supply water to the city of Aktobe and to irrigate agricultural land. Since its inception, the Kargaly reservoir has been stocked immediately, and now 36 species inhabit it. There is a whitefish, a lot of pikes, perches, and carp fishing. In Aktobe on the Kargaly reservoir, fishing is paid. The cost of the ticket is 300 tenge. Saving on small is not advised, in Kazakhstan it is very strict with illegal fishing.
The Aktyubinsk-Orsk highway passes near the reservoir, which ensures easy access to the reservoir.
Sturgeon and carp fishing
Kargaly district is one of the most environmentally friendly in the Aktobe region. There is unique flora and fauna, and it is here, in the Kargaly region, for more than 10 years, the only sturgeon farm "Ardagym" exists in the republic, consisting of 15 artificial lakes. All of them are inhabited by fry of sturgeon breeds: there are sterlet, beluga, Siberian sturgeon, Russian, American and Caspian. Here you can feel all the charms of fishing. But the pleasure is paid. Fishing in Aktobe for sturgeon costs 5,000 tenge per kilogram of fish caught.
In the vicinity of the sturgeon farm there are artificial carp ponds with common, Japanese and mirror carp. On the territory of the reservoirs houses were built in which you can live both during summer and during winter fishing. There is also a bathhouse and cafe. Fishing here is also paid, but cheaper than in sturgeon farming, and they say that women and children do not take money from fishing for fishing at all.
In the future, as the sturgeon and carp farms expand and when offspring are successfully obtained from fish eggs of their own reservoirs, it is planned to lower prices for fishing services.
Features of fishing in Aktobe
Since April, spawning occurs in fish living in the water bodies of the region, and therefore phased time restrictions on fishing are introduced.
So, every year from mid-April for a month fishing for pike, asp, perch, perch, perch, roach, bersh, ide, chub, and mall is prohibited. The spawning period of these fish lasts on average until mid-May. Then, from mid-May to mid-June, fishing in Aktobe is prohibited for crucian carp, common carp, tench, rudd, bream, bream, white-eye.
In addition, until the end of June you can not catch crayfish.
