The children's theater "Aleko" has existed since the last century. Many generations of artists and athletes have grown here. Professionals are involved with children. Young artists take part in performances and events significant for the country.
Theater History
Aleko is an ice theater that was founded in 1977. The decision to open it was made by the trade union committee of the Lenin Komsomol automobile plant. The Aleko Theater was led by the soloist of the ensemble Igor Moiseyev, Honored Artist of the RSFSR - N. M. Samsonova. At that time O.V.Safronova was a choreographer. The children were trained by masters of sports: O.L. Barskova, N.P. Varyan, E.N. Karpova, M.O. Galkina.
The first performances presented to the public by the Aleko Theater:
- "Nutcracker";
- "Time forward";
- “May there always be sunshine”;
- "Aibolit";
- "Broad is my own country."
Also, young artists took part in mass scenes during the closing and opening ceremonies of the 1980 Olympics, held in Moscow, in the art program of international competitions called “Moscow News”.
In 1989, the Aleko Theater received the title Exemplary.
From 1998 to this day, Olga Ilyinichna Kondrashova has been the artistic director. Thanks to her, at the Aleko Theater, outstanding trainers, choreographers, and acrobatics teachers were united into one team. Teachers "Aleko" are professionals in their field. Most of them are former graduates of this theater. In almost all rooms, ice technique, acrobatic elements, unique choreography, stilted skates, a large jump rope and synchronized skating are combined into a single whole. Olga Ilyinichna is not only the artistic director, she is also a director and designer of unusually beautiful costumes. In 2010, this talented woman was awarded the title “Honorary Worker of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism of the City of Moscow”.
At the Aleko ice theater, more than a hundred children are engaged. The age of pupils is from 4 years to 18 years.
Coaching staff
The Aleko Theater, as mentioned above, exists under the direction of Olga Ilyinichna Kondrashova. She herself is his graduate. Then she graduated from the Institute of Physical Education. She began working in the theater since 1986.
Trainer - Tatyana Aleksandrovna Karelina. She is also a graduate of the Aleko Theater and the Institute of Physical Education.
Julia Vladimirovna Shmiler is a master of sports in figure skating.
Andrei Stepanovich Maximov brings up sports couples.
Ice acrobatics for young artists is taught by Sergey Alexandrovich Karelin. He is a graduate of the Aleko Theater. In addition, he is a soloist of the Moscow Ballet on Ice.
Tamara Aleksandrovna Mikhailova - choreographer. In the past, the soloist of the song and dance ensemble of the Ministry of the Interior.
The contemporary dances of the pupils are taught by Lana Alekseevna Shepeleva.

Since 1999, young artists have been taking part in Christmas trees for children, which take place in the Olimpiysky sports complex. Pupils of the Aleko Theater have performed together with such illustrious figure skaters of our country as A. Yagudin, A. Tikhonov, I. Slutskaya and M. Petrova. The artists showed their New Year's performances in several cities.
In 2011, Aleko pupils participated in a gala concert held on Red Square in honor of the celebration of Russia Day.
Awards
The Aleko Theater over the years of its existence has earned a huge number of prizes and awards. His students won many times at various ice festivals. The theater often becomes a laureate in figure skating competitions. In his piggy bank diplomas for victories in competitions between dance groups on ice, dedicated to the memory of outstanding people - Larisa Novozhilova and Samson Glazer. Team members become laureates of Moscow, All-Russian and international festivals and competitions. The Aleko Theater was awarded
an honorary diploma for its participation in the Paralympic Torch Relay in 2014. The team also received thanks from the Minister for Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy for their great contribution to the development of sports in our country. The Aleko Theater also has diplomas for winning competitions held in other countries.
