His whole life is a theater
Milinder Lev Maksovich was born back in 1930 in the glorious city of St. Petersburg. In his native city, he graduated from the Theater Institute (1953), after which he actively achieved success in the acting field.
Throughout his life, Lev Milinder worked in the theater. First, according to the distribution, he ended up in the Academic Drama Theater named after Y. F. Volkova, where he happened to work until 1954. Starting this year, the place where Milinder was serving his workdays was the Academic Comedy Theater named after Akimov in his favorite city of Leningrad (St. Petersburg).
Glory was not long in coming
After only six years of hard work, Leo Milinder found out what it means to be a favorite of the public. His acting skills were noticed in the play “Shadow”, staged by Nikolay Akimov himself .
Since 1948, it has been a tradition to organize a big celebration in honor of each hero of the day working in the theater. Such events were taken seriously, prepared in advance and the best numbers were shown at them. Together with Alexei Savostyan and Leonid Leonidov, Lev Milinder for many years acted as the author of such holiday “skits”.
Work on television
Leo Milinder, whose biography is tightly imbued with theatrical art, has also repeatedly appeared on television. The first picture with his participation, which viewers were able to see, was the television show "Colorful Stories."
This was followed by participation in nine more films, and in three more the actor voiced other people's roles. Especially successful were his roles in the films “You are my one” (1993), “Winter Cherry 3” (1995) and “National Security Agent” (2001).
Not very successful personal life
Milinder possessed a rare charisma and a subtle, intelligent sense of humor. In any company, he found himself in the spotlight, and especially attracted women. The ability to make a joke beautifully and at the same time to keep himself worthy came from Leo Milinder to his beloved grandson, witty and charming TV presenter Ivan Urgant.
Milinder was married five times in his life, but in the end he was left alone. He was too amorous, but noble. With each divorce, Leo left all the property to his wife. His son Andrei, in search of family happiness, followed in his father's footsteps: he was also married several times. But the grandson Ivan, after a short trial family life in his student years, has been in a happy marriage for many years with his permanent companion, classmate Natalya.

Leo Milinder and Nina Urgant got married as a student. Their marriage lasted only four years. After the birth of their son Andrei (father of Ivan Urgant), they lived together for only a year. After parting, they practically did not communicate, but they always spoke warmly about each other.
It is not fully known why the Estonian surname Urgant passed from Nina to her husband. There is an assumption that at that time she was more popular than her husband, so the family chose a louder surname.
Nina Urgant was a truly talented actress. During her life, she managed to play more than 50 film roles. Many remember her secondary roles in the films Tamer of the Tigers and Caution, Grandma! and the main ones - in the films “Belorussky Train Station” and “Mother and Stepmother”.
Death and eternal memory
Leo Milinder died in 2005 on International Women's Day. A talented actor, always full of all sorts of ideas, worked tirelessly until the end of his days. Even when his health began to leave him rapidly, he did not have time to heal - all his life, without a trace, he devoted himself to art.
Modesty and kindness, charm and a subtle sense of humor made this man a favorite among his colleagues. Life gave Lev Maximovich many faithful friends who will remember him for many years to come. Unfortunately, few contemporary theater and cinema lovers will remember the talented actor Lev Milinder.
However, today few people will not remember the humor, liveliness of mind and charisma of the TV presenter and actor Ivan Urgant that inherited from grandfather. Greater recognition was also achieved by the son of Leo Maksimovich Andrey Urgant. Apparently, the genetic information in their family is very powerful.
Andrei Urgant is a famous actor and TV presenter today. In the list of programs in which he acted as a host are: “Meetings with Mokhovoy”, “Twelve” and “Egoist”. His acting skills were widely appreciated by watching the films “Window to Paris”, “Voronin”, “Obsessed” and “My Crazy Family”.
In the memory of his colleagues, Lev Maximovich Milinder remained a witty, kind and infinitely talented person, and for those who at least once contemplated his acting reincarnation, he was remembered as a great master of his craft. And although Lev Mikhailovich himself is no longer alive, his talent lives in his son and grandson and, possibly, will spread to future generations.
