Theater History
The Saratov Puppet Theater "Teremok" is considered one of the first puppet theaters in Russia. In 2016, the theater celebrated its 80th anniversary. It all started with the play "The Goose", which was first shown on November 4, 1936. The Teremok Puppet Theater in Saratov did not have at that time a sufficient amount of props, a budget, or its own premises. The theater was "raised" by novice actors who worked on the basis of the Theater of Young Spectators. The outbreak of war in 1941 called into question the continued existence of "Teremka", but the troupe began to travel with performances to hospitals and children's institutions. In 1963, the theater acquired its own building built for him with 336 seats.
Theater dolls
Puppets are the most amazing and unusual embodiment of theatrical art; they are called upon to “talk” with the audience through form, image, gesture and even shadows on the walls. The Puppet Theater "Teremok" has its own puppet workshop, a sewing workshop. Over the years, dozens of puppet exhibits have been created within these walls.
The collection of the theater is represented by riding and grassroots dolls. Riding dolls are represented by glove, cane and shadow dolls, the actor controls them from above. Grassroots are dolls below the puppeteer. They are divided into tablet puppets and puppets. There is also a separate view - the

"Teremok" provides its viewers with such an opportunity and organizes tours of the theater and creative meetings. Creative meetings are always an acquaintance with actors who will talk about how to make friends with a doll and “revive” it on stage. The theater season 2017-2018 is represented by 35 performances. The heroes of the performance are five restless bunnies that fall into different stories on the road, in transport, get acquainted with the striped street animal Zebra. Their adventures are accompanied by cheerful dances and songs. This performance will easily and playfully teach the child the rules of behavior on the road, it will provide the basic rules of the road. The production is noteworthy in that it uses life-size puppets.
