Telegram is a convenient and popular messenger for computers and phones, with only one drawback: it does not have the Russian language. But this seems to be a problem only at first glance. In this article we will tell you how to translate Telegram into Russian on a computer.
Note that the methods described below are primarily suitable for PCs. Methods for smartphones are not very different, but still have their own specifics.
Windows
The developers of the program did not enter the Russian language into the list of available localizations in the settings, but how to translate Telegram into Russian on a computer is written on the official website.
Follow this instruction:
- run the program;
- go to the contact search line (upper field);
- type (or copy from here) telerobot;
- Telegram will find the bot - click on it;
- if you entered the name correctly, the chat will open;

- in response, a file will come in just a couple of seconds, save it to your computer in any folder that you find convenient;
- go to Settings in the main menu;
- hold down the key combination Shift + Alt and click on Change Language ("Change language");

- when a window appears asking if you want to install a new language, click Ok.
Russification completed. You may need to restart the program.
Important! When updating "Telegram" and installing new versions, repeat all the steps according to the instructions, because due to amendments to the program code, localization settings of another version may not work correctly.

Mac
How to translate Telegram into Russian on a computer if you have an apple operating system? The instruction is similar to the above, however, with the only correction: use the command for the bot locate osx.
Linux
