He is sure: where he currently exists, there is television. The programs they once created were at one time megapopular and loved by a huge number of viewers. But then, at one point, Lev Yuryevich disappeared from the TV screens. Where he is now and what he is doing, let's try to figure it out.
Childhood and study
Leo Novozhenov was born on October 24, 1946 in the capital - the city of Moscow. In an intelligent, fairly prosperous family the year after the end of the war. His father - Yuri Mikhailovich Novozhenov - was a graduate of the Literary Institute. Gorky. His mother, Anna Grigoryevna, was a graphic artist.
At school, little Levushka studied too unevenly. In the seventh grade, he even dared to drop out of school. He settles in the factory as an apprentice fitter. He devotes his evenings to evening school.
The future TV presenter first received his first higher education at the History Department of Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. Lenin. And when two years have passed since he entered, he decided to transfer to the editorial department of MPI (today - MGUP). Lev Novozhenov received his diploma in 1974. Sent on a Komsomol ticket, he was a worker in the construction of the Achinsk alumina refinery.
The birth of a dream
Construction in Achinsk helped the guy gain considerable experience. This went on for a whole year. Then came a return to Moscow, where Novozhenov Lev Yuryevich began working as an ordinary courier in the editorial office of the newspaper “Evening Moscow”. Throughout the year, he was imbued with a working atmosphere, and then decided to become a journalist.
The guy worked as a correspondent for several years. Moreover, he could publish not only notes, but also his short stories. After some time, Novozhenov was lucky to submit his manuscripts to Sergey Mikhalkov for consideration. The guy was very worried, waiting for a harsh verdict from the master, but he not only praised Novozhenov, but also gave him a recommendation to a newspaper called Literary Russia.
Leo Novozhenov goes there through a serious competition and begins his career as a simple correspondent in tandem with the popular journalist Deutsch today. It so happened that at the same time, Alexander Sokolov, the future emigrant writer, worked in the same edition with the young Lev Yuryevich.
Almost according to Ilf and Petrov
Time passes. The novice journalist was perfectly able to prove himself. Now he is not just a journalist in the newspaper, but also the author of its last page, bearing the uncomplicated name “The Twelve Chairs Club”. While working in this department, he understands that he must try his hand at writing humorous stories. A few years later Lev Novozhenov, biography which may seem somewhat confusing to the townsfolk, leaves the already "settled" place and becomes a writer. Everything would be fine, but ...
"Money, money, rubbish ...."
The interesting literary work for him turned out to be completely unprofitable. The financial situation began to deteriorate greatly. Therefore, the writer had to look for another job, where there was a steady income. At the prompt of a friend, he comes to work at the Monument Protection Bureau in the Moscow Region. There he has the opportunity to continue his work on the field of literature.
Very little time passes and Novozhenov Lev Yuryevich gets a job in the editorial office of the newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets. These were the walls where he stayed for many years, gradually stepping the whole ladder from the first to the last step. It was there that he became deputy chief editor. It is at this stage of his career that Lev Novozhenov begins to lead the Vremechko program, which was the joint brainchild of the newspaper’s editorial office and the fourth television channel.
“Good day to all!”
In these wonderful days for him, he could not even imagine that his new profession would be connected with working on the air. But only four months pass, when the channel’s leadership, in all seriousness of the moment, offers Lev Yuryevich to become the head of the Vremechko program on Author’s television. The format of the program was quite simple: it contains interesting news that has nothing to do with politics and is necessarily broadcast live.
Under such working conditions, the ability of a journalist to conduct a dialogue with completely different interlocutors and react quickly enough to any situation arose was very helpful. After a very short period of time, Novozhenov managed to gather around himself a group of like-minded colleagues who still form the skeleton of the program.
Over the course of a number of years, this program has been able to take first place in the overall rating of programs. Gradually, quantity develops into quality. And Novozhenov moves to NTV. It was on this channel that he created his “Vremechko” - a day and night version and a completely new program called “Old TV”.
Program evolution
Lev Yurievich is convinced that, creating his programs, he gradually builds a modern national television, where everyone can tell about their problems. In his opinion, program evolution is absolutely natural, because even the most successful rating program must be updated. The formation of each of the programs should take place live, in live communication with the audience. Only in this way everything should happen, the TV presenter Lev Novozhenov is sure. Where now he lives, it’s easy to understand: he wants to create another show - “Night Flight”, as a result of everything that has been done in his life. Lev Yurievich wants to prove that the journalists of domestic channels can give odds to journalists "foreign".
That was always on television Lev Novozhenov. The family of this amazing person for a long time did not add up, his professional activity was very stormy. Now he is married for the fourth time. The first wife and son, who is over twenty years old, live in Boston. In the last marriage, Novozhenova had a daughter, who is now in her teens. She graduated from art school and made a gift to her father, writing his book of stories with her own sketches.
