Arriving home in the evening and wanting to relax at the computer, you turn it on and select the "Internet Connection" icon in the desktop panel. Next, in the window that appears, enter the username and password, click "Connect." The "Verify Username and Password" label has been hanging this time for a very long time. Then it disappears, but instead a window appears with the inscription "Error 629. Communication was disconnected." What kind of beast is this? This is what many will think. Rather, not because it is curious, but because you cannot connect to the Internet because of it.

Causes of Error 629

So, today we analyze the causes of this error and ways to resolve it.
Let's start with the reasons. A break in communication could be caused by such factors:

• Error 629 - A PPPoE session has already been created and you are trying to open another one.
• Telephone line interference.
• The system administrator personally disconnected.
• Invalid username / password.
• The connectors have poor contact.
• The LAN cable is not connected.
• Error 629 - VPN server blocked TCP connection.
• The matching procedure at the selected speed between the computer and the modem failed.

Then carefully check the language layout of the keyboard, if the "Caps Lock" key is working, then disable it. Open the connection window with the ISP server again, carefully and accurately enter the user name and password, changing (if necessary) the case of letters only using the "Shift" key. If the steps described in the previous paragraph did not help, then the problem with the server provider was the cause of the error. We do as follows:

1. Check your operating system and the availability of the ability to restore a modem connection.
