Diana Vishneva is a ballerina. Her biography as a dancer began quite early - at the age of six, when her parents took her to classes in a choreographic circle in the Leningrad Palace of Pioneers. Her family, far from the world of art (both parents are chemical engineers by profession), strongly supported the aspirations of her daughter, and today Diana Vishneva became famous throughout the world for her talent.
Vocation
In Leningrad, on July 13, 1976, a girl was born in the family of chemical engineers who was written to conquer the future world of dance art.
Her mother is a Tatar, Guzel Fagimovna. She came to Leningrad from Kyrgyzstan to study. Father - Victor Gennadievich, a chemical engineer by education. Diana’s mother herself always dreamed of becoming a ballerina, but her youngest daughter, who became one of the best ballerinas in the world, realized this desire.
When a girl of 6 years old, with very thin legs and arms, her mother led her hand into a dance club at the Palace of Pioneers in Leningrad, no one suspected which swan would grow out of this duckling. As the choreographers recall, Diana was a very serious and thoughtful girl, she did not dabble at rehearsals, but carefully watched the teacher’s movements, “catching on the fly” every new step.
In 1987, at the age of 11, Vishneva entered the choreographic school named after Vaganova in Leningrad at the third attempt (today - the Academy of Russian Ballet).
First serious victory
A year before graduating from the Academy, in 1994 she simultaneously won the Gold Medal and Grand Prix at Le Prix de Lausanne (an international ballet competition held annually in Lausanne, Switzerland). The following year, she managed to dance in this cult production on two of the greatest ballet scenes: on the stage of the Paris Opera (edited by R. Nuriev) and the Bolshoi Theater (edited by Yu. Grigorovich). Tearing off applause in Moscow, Diana signed a contract with the Bolshoi Theater and became his invited soloist.
