This material is in no way propaganda of smoking. A description of how to blow smoke rings out is provided for educational purposes only. Indeed, for sure many of us have watched how some smokers effectively produce smoke rings, and how they do it, for some
remains a mystery. In fact, there is nothing complicated. In order to master this technique, you need a little patience and training.
To visualize the whole process, let's look deep into history and get acquainted with the first who thought of how to let the rings out of smoke. The name of this man is Robert Wood, the great American experimental physicist. About a hundred years ago, in his lectures, he often showed students a setup with which it was possible to launch air rings. It was a large wooden box, one side of which was covered with a rubber membrane. A round hole was made on the opposite side. A smoldering piece of cotton was placed at the bottom of the box. When a finger was clicked on the membrane, smoke rings pulled out of the hole, and they possessed a sufficiently large force, since they reached the opposite edge of the audience and could easily knock down the cardboard box that stood there.
Similar, only on a smaller scale, can be done with your own mouth. There are several ways to blow smoke rings out. Let us dwell on the simplest.
First, practice: the lips need to be shaped like a circle, the tense tongue should be positioned so that it is exactly in the center of this hole. Now we are trying to make the following movements: we move the tongue back and forth with a small amplitude, it should kind of push out the smoke, at the same time the lower jaw makes cutting movements up and down. Lips should be motionless. Now you need to type in light smoke and repeat the above. Do not be discouraged if it does not work out the first time, at least you will understand how all this should happen.

Now let's talk about how to let the rings out of smoke without a tongue. It's a bit heavier here, in which case the Wood method is already used directly. Smoke should be collected not in the lungs, but in the mouth. Lips need to be strained and form a small circle with them. Now try to portray the sound of “Oh,” only in a whisper and briefly. If you do everything right, then it will sound like a crack or cough. The lips and tongue should be fixed, only the
vocal cords and cheeks work, which need to be helped to release air. Smoke, leaving in small portions, will form very beautiful picturesque rings. This method is also called "W vice versa," because when you exhale, a sound is pronounced that is very similar to an inverted "double."
Most novice “ring testers” take more than one attempt to learn this difficult art. Master it slowly, without fanatical zeal. Smoke rings are, of course, unusual and spectacular, but always remember your health. Smoking several cigarettes in a row can lead to a general deterioration in well-being.
