Working at the computer, the average user, as a rule, simultaneously opens several windows from different programs. At the same time, he has to periodically switch between them, which is not very convenient. But what if you fix one or more windows on top of all the others and do not spend too much time expanding and minimizing it? Fortunately, this can be done with the help of special programs, which will be discussed in this article.
When will this come in handy?

As soon as you download Always On Top, you can immediately select the window you are interested in, and then move it to the foreground by pressing the key combination “Ctrl + Space”. The option is canceled in the same way, and to exit the program, it will be enough to click on its icon in the tray and select the appropriate item.
Deskpins
A compact utility that is also distributed free of charge. After you download DeskPins to your computer, a pin icon will appear in the quick launch panel. Now just drag this icon to the window you need, and it will automatically lock in the foreground. As you can see, everything is simple.
Also, if you wish, you can make a window on top of all windows using hot keys. In this program, the combination “Ctrl + F12” is responsible for this function. It also serves to cancel the operation.
Unfortunately, DeskPins is not translated into Russian. However, the main function of the application is already quite understandable, so the lack of localization should not be a serious problem.
Aqua snap
This program is multifunctional. And, among other things, it allows you to fix the window on top of all windows. You don’t even need to configure anything for this. It is enough to take a window, and then “twitch” it with the mouse. After that, it will automatically move to the foreground.
Other AquaSnap features include the ability to snap windows to each other, drag and drop them at the same time, stretch them to the desired size with one click, etc. By the way, the program has a Russian-language interface, so you won’t get confused in the many settings.
4t Tray Minimizer
This application is positioned as a window manager. It has a large set of various functions that will help you manage open source programs at times more convenient.
So, after installing 4t Tray Minimizer, an additional set of buttons will appear on all windows. Among them, you can easily find the one that is responsible for the option “on top of others”. As you might guess, clicking this button will bring the window to the forefront.
Turbotop
A very small program that, after installation, is placed in the quick launch panel. By clicking on the application icon, you will see the currently open windows in the general list. Next, you can choose among them those that you want to put in the foreground, ticking them off.
Also, do not forget that some stand-alone programs have a built-in function “on top of other windows”. For example, this can be done in KMPlayer. So it makes no sense to install a separate application if the programs you need can push your windows to the forefront anyway.
