Top quality
Its full name is the Academic Youth Theater. Over its nearly century-old history, the institution has formed its own repertoire, which has changed somewhat over the years, acquiring a multi-genre orientation as much as possible. Today in the theater, various performances are staged every season. Every year the troupe is replenished with new faces, immigrants of theatrical institutes. Many residents admit that the Globus Theater (Novosibirsk) is one of the most beloved and most visited in the city.
Formation history
Since 1930, when it was founded, the theater has seen productions of more than one director's school. Here, many eminent cultural figures honed their skills. At first, the Globe was located in the Lenin House, which was later given to the State Philharmonic. Since 1984, he received a permanent address - Kamenskaya Street, house 1. A peculiarity of the building itself is its unusual shape - the Globus Theater is designed for a sailing ship.

The first production was the play “Timoshkin Mine”. Initially, the troupe included theater actors of a young audience, “discharged” from Leningrad. The repertoire of the first season included classic performances, including “The Snow Queen”, designed for children. The period of World War II did not pass by - the Globus, nicknamed among the townspeople by the theater, actively toured hospitals to maintain the fighting spirit of soldiers and those who remained in the rear. At this time, a repertoire was being created, which the theater retained in the postwar years.
For half a century, the troupe constantly underwent changes. The Globus Theater was the workplace of such directors as Lev Belov and Vladimir Kuzmin. They tried in every possible way to expand the program, experimented a lot, put “Undergrowth” and “Young Guard”. Since the late 60s, the management of the theater was taken over by Nina Nikulkova, Honored Worker of Culture. Thanks to her, the theater moved to a new address. Nikulkova personally went to the Ministry to “knock out” the construction of the building.
Closer to world standards
With the arrival of a new artistic director, composer Grigory Gobernik, the theater was filled with musical aesthetics, characterized by the fact that each performance was directed as a holiday. Not only the artistic, but also the technical component was developed: there was a restoration, a change in the interior, and a replacement of seats in the auditorium.
Renaming to the Globus Theater took place in 1993. It was marked by the fact that the program went beyond the framework of Soviet classics. Like a geographical globe representing the entire globe, the theater's repertoire has become vast and diverse. It was based on the drama of recognized world authors, which viewers have not seen before. Six years later, the youth theater was renamed the academic.
The rich life of the theater
Almost every season new directors are invited, thus creating directing generations. The repertoire of the Globus Theater includes performances of various directions - melodramas, comedy masks, sitcoms, psychological and philosophical plays of an intellectual nature. Particular attention is still paid to children's productions, based primarily on classical fairy tales.
At the end of 2014, the theater’s creative troupe consists of forty-five actors who are constantly involved in the repertoire. To this number should be added directors, directors of a vocal and dance studio. Actors of the Globe Theater are people who have worked on its stage for many years. Over thirteen of them have the title of Honored Artist. Recently, an internship studio has been formed, which may include graduates of a theater institute. They are included in the category of young theater actors engaged in productions.
The creative team participates in Russian festivals and similar events held in other states. In addition, the Globus Theater often goes on tour in various regions of Russia.

Globe Theater in London
As you know, a theater with the same name exists not only in our country. Unlike the Russian “Globe”, the English theater was formed much earlier.
The first mention of it occurs in 1599. Then, at the personal expense of the troupe of local lords-artists (William Shakespeare also belonged to it), the London Globus was created. The building was destroyed by fire that broke out in 1613. A year later, the theater was rebuilt. By that time, Shakespeare had moved to Stratford, however, some of his plays were already staged in The Globe. To this day, the building has not been preserved.
New time - new culture
American director Sam Wenamaker was the first to sound trumpeted about the need to rebuild the theater, while maintaining the original name. Its construction was included in the so-called “Elizabethan plan”, according to which reconstruction of particularly important objects of cultural heritage was carried out. In 1997, the Globe was opened. Since then, to this day, the theater season has been held in it, lasting from May to October.
The Globe Theater in London is an incredibly beautiful architectural building. It has a stage that comes forward in the shape of a round courtyard. With the help of tilted tiers, it is surrounded by seating. Following are standing places, tickets for which cost from 5 pounds. The main scene is covered by a roof. In winter, the theater opens the season of excursions, taking tourists from all over the world.
